What do Symmetra players want specifically?

You just saying that she’s the same enough doesn’t make it so, I’m sorry but I simply disagree.

Yes she still has turrets, half of them. Yes she has teleporter, but it’s over short distances that make it useless for actually traversing that much distance - when before it could bring someone back all the way from spawn. You’re saying that traveling the entire way from spawn is ‘the same as’ 25m? Of a tp that takes forever to set up and can’t even be used well as a mobility tool?

Does she still have a way to protect herself? Um, no.

Does she still have a reliable primary fire? Um, no.

Does she still have shield penetrating orb secondary fire? Um, no.

Please stop trying to say that she’s the same because a few things are the same, like ~ you do realize that just because a car has a steering wheels and four tires, there’s a difference between a Jeep Cherokee and a Porsche, right?

The stuff. In. Her. Kit. Makes. A. Difference.

And. It. Is. Different. Now.

You wanting it to be the same doesn’t make her play out any better in game, that’s just you wanting to say she’s the same when she very much is not.

From what I can see, the crucial changes to get sym out of her current “must team pocket her —> highly team reliant + niche” rut are:

  • tp fluidity, whether by revert to old 3.0 finite tp or some other compromise with the cd mechanic (as long as we get the old cast frequency back)
  • orbs moving faster which means they’re more aimable and have longer effective range because of that.

with those 2, sym can get in and out of her effective range AT WILL more often like the rest of the heroes. this is in consideration of her ExpC +25hp.

Other changes like primary lvl 1 dps being 80dps, bug fixes, smaller hitbox, etc. are important, but aren’t as gameplay-changing as the aforementioned 2.
