That’s because they divided the Symmetra playerbase with her rework. D.va has never fundamentally had her kit changed so that her abilities are entirely different, but Symmetra has. You’re never going to see us agree because some Sym 3.0 players legit think her proton barrier shield ability was useless, and I don’t know how to talk to someone that thinks a pop-up shield that you can instantly deflect damage even as strong as a d.va ultimate to survive as ‘useless’, they’re just too brain dead to help. But in a nicer tone, basically, they want different things from her that others don’t want. They’re looking for an entirely different hue of Symmetra.
