Dear Good Community Players,
Yesterday I decided to hop on Overwatch to have some fun after an annoying day. I’ve played for 4 hours maybe; didn’t win any games not to mention the toxicity I’ve dealt with from both sides. So I decided to take a break and go to sleep and continue when I wake up.
I started playing again when I woke up but things got even worse.
I was faced with only Hogs and Balls literally for 10 straight games and their K/D ratio were into the ground (we talking 3/19, one of the game our tank got 0/9 or smth). I even called it out in multiple games and my teammates agreed with me.
I only used “Tank Diff” phrase halfway through the amount of games I played (which again my teammates agreed with me and interacted with it).
I got on today to get an “Abusive Chat Warning”
I’ve got banned multiple times for abusive chat ever since then, I’ve started taking things easy and controlling my words, but never have I ever got a warning for such situation.
What i am sure of that i wasn’t toxic to anyone yesterday. I kept my mentality good. I was just going for “Tank diff” in some game and my team would go for “yeah what was the tank doing?” for example.
Could this be the reason i got the warning? and what other common words or phrases that could get me a warning or a mute?

Yes, insulting other players does generally result in account action. I suggest that instead of doing that, you don’t. Hope that helps.

Saying “diff” is toxic - you basicly put someone down. And it makes you look cringe.

Hmm Didn’t know it’s considered toxic as at multiple times i reported people using this phrase and they never got a warning. I even asked and players said it’s okay to use this phrase.
I wasn’t meant to be toxic really, plus the tanks just tend to defend themselves and turn it on you instead of admitting their fault. They start to be toxic to me and everyone but i just ignore so i avoid getting account action.
Maybe because i’ve been used to saying it alot in the past and it never got me a warning that i think its okay to use it.
But alright thanks for letting me know 
Think about it. What is positive about saying a phrase, that suggests, that one player was bad?

Ye because they care only when they actually see the consequences. They don’t care of people while insult them because zero emphaty at all.

That’s why consequences exist. To teach people don’t you think? 
Some people just don’t realize that they’re doing something wrong.
That’s why us smart people insult in voice chat
No really, you can get a warning for saying like “you’re dumb” in text chat (happened to me), but full on “holy f* you’re reta…” in VC won’t get you anything.

I muted chat. Last time I had it on, people were extremely toxic to me, so I disabled all chats except groups and whispers.
Also decided to not play stadium for the foreseeable future, if ever again.

Not everyone is too smart to realize this, especially when your mentality is getting worse when things are not fun anymore because some player decided to ruin your day 
Things I have gotten reported for, where verifiably the players told me they’d report me or otherwise complained in the match about me for this stuff. I’d get a notification for it the next day.
hero selection:
- picking Mercy in 4v4, because “Mercy sucks in TDM” (my team reported me)
- picking Mercy in 4v4, because “Rezzes are unfair in TDM” (enemy team reported me)
- picking Mercy in comp (diamond or masters at the time, I think)
- picking Mercy in QP and not letting someone’s girlfriend have her
- picking Mercy in QP and not hard pocketing a hitscan that demanded it
gameplay:
- playing Mercy and asking the team to group up
- playing Mercy and asking the team to not stagger
- playing Mercy and asking the tank to not feed
- playing Mercy and asking the dps for peels
- playing Mercy and pinging Sombra’s location more than once
after losing a match:
- having more healing than the other support, because “Mercy healbot sucks”
- having less healing than the other support, because “Mercy healing sucks”
I play a lot of Ana too, with some Zen and Illari. None of any of the non-Mercy specific stuff ever happens.
