Imagine because its not pvp, you can pick old versions of characters to use, along with skill trees. Imagine old bastion, support torb, old brig, current soldier, and beta junker queen.
I’m hoping for replay value. Some kind of AI director, maybe even a few variable map chunks.
Some cool story moments and payoffs (Symm facing Vishkar, Genji and Hanzo teaming up, etc)

yeh but there will still be meta picks and people may even complain.
The more I think about pve the more things I find that can go wrong and the OW team is not exactly known for making careful decisions.
Not glorified Archives.
Must be better than Heat Street.
There’s a defined standard existing in the community.
Harder than Archives Legendary difficulty. By the end of OW1 I was completing Legendary difficulty without anyone on the team dying cos we were all hunting high scores and achievements.

That’s the thing with PVE. There are no rules! There is no need for balance! And if one hell is way stronger than any other… ya just don’t have them in the mission! GENIUS! The devs can go insane!

But, yeah, if it’s F2P I expect it’s going to be a ridiculous grind curbed by paying or everything outside of a base set of content will be paid for.

have we learned noting from the archives missions?
If people don’t use solid picks or underperform (especially on higher difficulties), others will just leave mid game.
For it to be affordable. (It won’t be).
Heat Street is fantastic!
That said, if fanbois with the workshop produce a better game than a multi-million dollar corporation, there’s a HUGE issue!
Blizz has seen the floor of what they must produce. It must be better than Heat Street or it’s undoubtedly a failure.

Another thing with a Campaign. I want it to be a paid extension. And I want the game to give us daily OW Coins or at the VERY least the Free Credits. Perhaps match them to a “Mission of the Day”.

No, I want to pay for it. Free is the same thing as not getting it. Because then it’s gonna be rotated, it’s gonna be a large grind, it’s just too iffy to not make it paid. It better not be free.

Yeah, as someone who is constantly playing Archives every chance I get, that barely happens. ESPECIALLY ON THE HARDER DIFFICULTIES
But yeah, if you get mad over a hero pick and leave, you deserve to suffer.

At the very least, it’ll be Heat Street with “Blizzard Polish” so it’s got that going for it.
What stops it to be a grind even when you pay for it?
As someone who reads the forum all the time I see tons of people complaining about leavers in the archives every year.
