Try to cycle your bubbles properly. It’s hard to stay full charge if you use them both at the same time a lot. In this meta save allied bubbles for hooks. Use cover because you can’t hide behind a shield 24/7.

Some tips from someone who only has a little time on zarya; change your playstyle based on your cooldowns and energy.

Both: don’t be afraid to be aggressive, just know your limits, and back off while bubbling when you need to retreat. Make sure you keep an eye on teammates, and if someone gets in trouble, bubble them.

Ally only: Stay in the frontline, but hang back just a little. When teammates dive in, you should use bubble.

None: Stay by your teammates at around the end of your beam range, or maybe even just spam secondary from the backline

Self only: Stay close to the front, and use bubble when you have to retreat.

Low energy: either focus enemies who are low, or look for mistakes and exploit them (one of the things zarya does very well)

High energy: Just go for the high-priority targets like tanks, you’ll melt them, or supports, if you can reach them.

Hi, I’m hopping in this thread too because I also want to learn Zarya. One question I have on my own is knowing when to use primary over alt fire, so if anyone knows the answer to that, that’d be greatly appreciated.

Also, one thing I learned from a video is that you don’t have to always hold onto grav for the 6-man ult combo. Even if you just trap one or two people in it, as long as it gets a valuable pick, that helps your team win the fight tremendously.

Primary fire is good for tanks and at close range, but if you can’t hit the beam on hyper-mobile targets, the splash from secondary fire is quite useful, and if the person you’re going for is quite far away, they often don’t expect you to attack them, so your secondary fire is generally quite useful then.

That’s what I basically do, anyway.

Typically this is one of the better tips here, but this is probably one of the better ones.

As Zarya, you want to lead, but not stay in front of the team. Usually you’re going want your partner Tank to a lot of the forward pushing and if they’re not (say they’re a cowardly Orisa), you’ll want to lead just as much as you can see your front line offense and support.

Typically, Zarya does really well with front line Tanks that can stay there and hold the line. Wrecking Ball and Orisa tend to be the worse partners for Zarya, but she can still get value with Genji/Tracer/Doom/Reaper and others.

It’s important not to neglect or ignore your Supports and cover them as necessary.

You don’t need to be hitting every target with your beam and you don’t need to be kissing or rushing them at max charge. Maintain your distance, and use RMB for bursting and artillery fire for your frontline and your primary if the enemy target is in range. Usually it’s better to let them come to you or approach only as necessary.

And broadcast when your ult is ready so that your team knows.

Right click. Right click like crazy. Right click till the cows come home. If you’re not in primary fire range of anything and the enemy Zarya isn’t bubbling, you should be right clicking. It’s semi decent damage and you’ll get grav up MUCH faster.

Depends on the rank and zarya’s playstyle is different with rein and without rein.

As a former masters zarya player ill just throw 3 tips for every sub diamond player

Built energy before you do anything else. First 2 bubbles must give more than 60.
Never bubble yourself or an ally when they start shooting. Wait half a second.

Finally, the most important tip. PRESS Q. You have grav? Use the grav to win the fight before you lose it.

Tips how to delete Sombra from the game as Zarya from Sombramain :

  • 1 Close your eyes
  • 2 Spin 360
  • 3 Randomly press " E " = Cancel hack
  • 4 Press " Shift " every CD
  • 5 then you have 90% chance get + 40% - 80% charge when Sombra will use EMP
  • 6 press m2 everywhere = kill Sombra / uncloak from stealth / break TL / cancel hack
  • 7 Do it all match
  • 8 Enjoy deleted Sombra
