your counter arguement sucks, lets look through all the defense heroes
there are 6 defense heroes, 2 of which are actually used as defense, the rest are better on the offensive
bastion: honestly better on offense in the pirateship strat because he doesnt bring any good defensive utility to his team
torbjorn: again, better on defense due to the nature of the turret, but you can pirate ship his turret to make it work
mei: no reason to take her on offensive, her wall makes her viable to shut off enemies thus actually making her decent at defense
junkrat: doesnt matter due to his spam taking down shields really fast, i guess his beartrap is technically defensive but its easy to see so not really
hanzo and widow: i put them together because they are both snipers, snipers are always better on attack because of the peek advantage, so a lot of people take them on attack
as we can see, only 2 of these “defensive” heroes are actually ok at defending, because they have utility to do so, the rest are just as good and usually better on offensive, which brings me to my next point
“offense” heroes are usually taken on defense as well as offense, why is that? because they are all the same thing, dps. just because they do damage doesnt make them a dps
you just sound silly, can i even take you seriously? dps heroes have one sole function: to do damage. now obviously in an fps everyone should have the ability to do damage, would you really think its fair if a hero couldnt do any damage at all? exactly, dont sound stupid. now a dps is a dps because they do a lot more damage than others, obviously, soldier has tac visor, mcree high noon etc, now what defensive ults do these “defense” heroes have? well mei has blizzard… and thats it. all of the dps ults are good for both attack and defense, why? because they are dps, thats it, its a very simple answer. and checking your profile you dont even play ranked so how could i expect you to know that defense is the same as offense, do your homework and get educated before looking stupid
