First off, thank you to Eric and the Comms team for the transparency. I’m glad to hear that you’re prioritizing the team’s well-being.

Regarding Sound Design… since September 2025, I have been keeping a close eye on voice line bugs, triggers, and unused audio. While we’ve seen fantastic progress with several of these being fixed recently, there is still work to be done. If the audio/systems teams are taking a look under the hood next week, I’d like to share these audio bugs I’ve been working hard on doing some QA on it.

:fire: 1. HIGH PRIORITY: “On Fire” Voice Spam Overriding Rare Interactions
Generic “On Fire” lines constantly override highly specific, rare elimination lines and interactions, making them almost impossible to hear. It also makes characters feel and act severely out of character due to the sheer frequency of the On Fire callouts. For the fix, tie the celebratory callouts to the “Blazing” state (where the fire burns brighter) rather than standard “On Fire,” and adjust the triggering time by ~1 second later so rare reflex/elimination lines can play first.

Also, On Fire voice lines are currently mistakenly called when Echo finishes Duplicate and when D.Va ejects from her mech.

:hammer_and_wrench: 2. Unimplemented or Bugged Ability Interactions
I’ve datamined or noticed several fully recorded ability reactions that are either bugged or completely unimplemented into the live game:

  • Reinhardt (Shield) & Ramattra (Nemesis Block): Unused lines for inhaling/absorbing ultimate damage (e.g., Rein vs. D.Va: “That’s all your robot suit can do?”; Ramattra vs. Cassidy: “Oh, dear. Did you miss?”).
  • Orisa (Fortify): Unused lines for interrupting movement abilities like Doomfist’s Rocket Punch (“I thought you could level a skyscraper.”).
  • Reaper (Soul Globes): Unused lines (“Death’s banquet,” “I grow stronger”) that could be hooked up to the Soul Reaving perk in core modes, and the Harvest Fest power in Stadium mode.
  • Sombra (Hack): Hack line variations for turrets, health packs, etc., exist but don’t play. They should be integrated with the successful hack folder and given priority criteria to override generic lines.
  • Junker Queen (Jagged Blade): Pulling an enemy with the knife has unique lines (“Let’s chat!”, “C’mere!”) that are currently overridden by her generic recall grunts and laments for Gracie.
  • Specific Kill/Impact lines: Pharah securing a fatal blow via Concussive Blast DPS, Ashe getting a Coach Gun knockback, Reinhardt charging off the map with a pinned opponent, and Doomfist’s Seismic Slam voice lines (which were recently disabled).

:gear: 3. Logic Flaws & Missing Criteria

  • Ally Ultimate Remarks (NEW BUG): Ally ultimate reaction lines are currently not working for several ultimates (Widowmaker, D.Va, Doomfist, Junkrat, Rein, Mercy, Ana).
  • Junker Queen Match Start: Her varied match start talks are entirely negated by two lines that override everything: “Let’s go smash some heads!” (Attack) and “Everybody holds, nobody runs.” (Defense).
  • Lifeweaver Contextual Healing: His specific healing lines are bugged and/or incorrectly assigned (Healing Blossom doesn’t seem to trigger the “critical heal” or “full health” events like other supports do).
  • Shoeless Sigma Skins: The default OW2 Sigma skin (and several others) are missing the “shoeless” criteria tag, meaning hilarious elimination lines don’t trigger - for example, Cassidy’s “No shoes, no service”, or Symmetra’s “Ugh. Put on some shoes. Please…”.
  • Match Talk Locations/Heroes: A lot of pre-match spawn room conversations are missing newer maps (like Samoa, Throne of Anubis, Shambali) or newer heroes in their trigger criteria.
  • Defending Objective Lines: Objective alerts on defending sides (e.g., “The enemy is pushing the payload”) are always spoken by one single player all match; the speaker should ideally be randomized.

:speech_balloon: 4. Subtitles & Accessibility

  • TS-1 desperately needs subtitles turned on/enabled for the Push game mode so we can read his charming status updates!
  • There’s several subtitles that are completely wrong, especially for Mizuki. See my subtitle thread (Incorrect Subtitles to Fix (w/ Urgent Mizuki Fixes)) for more.

Id really like to see the report and appeal system changed and discussed. We scream this over and over. Reports that don’t expire, stack up and are not looked at by anyone. It reaches a threshold and you get actioned. You can’t contact support because they send a copy paste reply to you. After 3-5 times responding, you finally get through to someone and they go wowie!! We’re so sorry, you really were banned falsely let me reinstate you. It should be instant support first time around. Please fix it

Ain’t gonna happen with Microslop in charge. They’re full in with the AI bull***t, so the consumers are screwed. Wanna appeal? yeah good luck with that.

Once they got rid of the actual CS, that was it. MS don’t give a crap. They’re as dog**** as Nvidia and other corpos, don’t give a crap, so they won’t give the $$$ to get actual CS for Blizz. To MS etc it’s AI first, consumers bottom of the pile.

LOL is it just me or the math does not add up??? In which universe you have multiple demographics at above 30%, that’s like a total of 300%, it’s as bogus as the data they give us. Am I missing some crucial piece of information?

I will never forgive them for not giving Wrecking Ball an Emil skin. It’s just too perfect…

Please either give us a real stats page (6v6 and 5v5 both as well as actual hero stats), or just make a public API of it so we can do it ourselves. The stats page is at below bare minimum still!

I think its because in the survey, you could select multiple categories, and if I remember, there was no limit for the amount of categories you could select. So technically, everyone who took the survey could have selected all the categories and each bar would be 100%. :bar_chart:
