Yay, nice to see some console focus. Aim assist is definitely a pain sometimes like when I’m trying to shoot into a group with Ana, but my crosshair gets pulled around. Will be nice not to just turn it off like I have been.

It is really heartening to see focus on consoles and I look forward to the aim assist changes, so long as they aren’t terrible.
But oh no. I’m scared of the new defaults. I’ve become scared of change. And progress. I’ve become old. A geriatric. A boomer.

Let my console friends turn off aim assist and play with the rest of my crew in comp please! I know plenty of people playing on controller in the m+k pool why exclude them? Should just be based on if aim assist is off or not.

Seriously, more options are definitely welcome. Especially the healer life level one. This is a regular problem when trying to target a low health ally and a near full health Tracer zips by, dragging your reticle with her. Had to severely reduced aim assist windows for several supports to help avoid this.

I so hate this. I’ll be trying to heal somebody then a random teammate will start jumping around in front of me and the aim assist starts following them

It’s great to see console players get some love!
Maybe we can get FOV slider as well - now that we have MKB support this would make the console experience perfect!
Also one thing I noticed with mouse and keyboard support is it’s a huge game changer but when you first start up the game it needs you to have a controller plugged in to press X to get past the first screen!
If that gets fixed it will be perfect!

With these new potentials I wonder if the anti cheat will keep up with the influx of ximmers wanting to see what it’s about.
I still see ximmers in the games I play pretty frequently so I wonder if this is really some console love truly….
Cause what’s the point if you can’t stop and keep up the bans with xim and toggle cheaters?

I probably won’t ever play Overwatch on a controller ever again now that there’s MNKB support for consoles, and also because I hated having to replace my stick modules every few months for the edge, but y’all honestly have no idea how much this stuff is appreciated.
Now, if y’all can just find a way to implement an FOV slider for console players, whether that’s through optimization or an ultraperformance mode that reduces fidelity in favor of FPS it’ll be perfect.

Aim assist is so 2006. Its time to move on from aimbots and replace them with gyro aiming.
