No, banning heroes from the game simply because you don’t want to play against them is not healthy for the game in general.
New heroes are being consistently banned in ranked. New heroes by the way

meh you would see SOME fluctuation if that was the case as the heroes that do get played all the time become too common/“strong”/annoying (a ban meta where the same heroes are banned all the time means theres nothing impacting the metas that do develop - its no different than not having bans)…instead no..you see a constant unwavering “i made up my mind day 1”, fingers in ears line
as is, the bans in this game (much like other games) exist strictly because a VERY early decision was made that “nope we cant have that in the game”…before any real effort was put into making that decision (like within a day or 2 even)…its why sombra was insta ban status immediately as soon as bans came, vendetta was instan ban status immediately, cat and domina as well…it makes zero sense for heroes to be getting instant ban status before anybody has had a chance to even learn how to play heroes…its just stupid

I am curious about the numbers, mostly because I think it would surprise people that there are way more console players than PC, but I don’t think they’ll ever do this as long as other games don’t. It would generate thousands of articles from gaming “journalists” all with their own senasationalist headlines, and that’s just not worth it for something that has no bearing on what actually happens in-game.
Dva is 10000% a domina counter. I play both.
Lemme guess- “matrix no block beam! Dva lose!”
No. Her crystal is a massive part of her damage and mattix deletes it easily. Domina CANNOT stop a dive in her backline by dva. At all. You also utterly eclipse her dps in the tank v tank match up and never reload + have massive armor in the first place.
You can dive her backline while her barrier is up, or wait out her barrier and kill her easily while your team supports you.
The literal only two steps to beating domina as dva are- DONT POKE FIGHT. She will win and you are hard throwing. And, rush attack. The quicker you get work done the better.
The longer you take and more defensive you play, the more you waste time inevitably getting lasered while matrix doesn’t stop enough damage and you’re feeding. Get agressive on dva and the match up is cake. Especially if you can wait out barrier by just sitting in cover and being patient. She isn’t sigma, it has a long cooldown. And once it’s down and you go crazy your team can back you up while domina beams you for chip damage at best. (Here’s your reminder beams get a full 30% damage reduction on armor by the way)

We do see fluctuation tho. They just gave numbers of cat and domina being banned a lot. We know vendetta also sees lots of bans. That is often enough 3/4 of the ban slots. So people are banning sombra for example, less now than before. Freja also gets banned much less after all her nerfs.
If blizzard wants to release op/annoying heroes, people will ban those. Sure some people ban the common ones because they don’t know what else they want to do with them. But all 4 heroes you mentioned are either very annoying like cat, and sombra for many players. Or too OP like vendetta since launch.

Anran and Emre were never banned because people thought they were too weak to be successful as new heroes. Domina and Packcat are banned because they are succcessful new heroes.
What a silly little argument you tried to make there. I also remember Freja being permanently banned for a while until she got hit with a nerf or two.

I like how you added the “too good” part. I think you really meant to say they are just annoying to play against. Which by itself is fine, but you don’t have a valid argument without creating a straw man worth tackling. Kind of like saying Domina and Packcat are too good in ranked gameplay.
Because the overall stats don’t show it. I think what is clear is the players intention to ban heroes they just don’t like. Regardless of that heroes performance. Which we already discussed in another thread.

Don’t be ungrateful, I tried to break it down for you and typed you a whole essay and talked about strategy in depth 
I mean maybe it’s not easy, not everyone is master, maybe this is hard to do in metal ranks where most people are. For me it feels extremely simple and intuitive. And it works. But that’s me. Maybe the me from my gold and plat days would have struggled.

No Domina especially is too good in ranked, she has weaknesses yes but require coordinating to take down which you can struggle with in ranked. Notice how they both have higher WR.
