Those Freja ban numbers need to be even higher. Force Blizzard to fix her.

Soo… with the overwhelming rate of Sombra getting banned, should we see this as a coralation that MAAAYBE she’s problematic? That MAYBE its time to actually go back to the drawing board?

I was actually very excited to see the data. This is perhaps the most interesting behinds the scenes information I’ve seen so far. Well, besides Concept art.
The Blog actually says they’re weighing options, but nothing’s concrete yet.
I say she should have to be visible to do anything. She can cloak for as long as she likes, get into position to hack someone, but she has to sit there visible while she waits for people to pass.
She instantly becomes less frustrating because you can scan her usual spots and shot her before she starts, but she retains her stealthy gameplay and can hide behind map geometry.

I think hero bans can be a good or bad thing, but banning four heroes is too much. I believe it should be reduced to two or three. Also, no matter how much you nerf Sombra, people are still going to ban her. I think there needs to be a system in place to prevent the same hero from being banned every match. This would help characters like Sombra and one-tricks more, since those players often get targeted unfairly But the good thing about heros ban it helps with counter swap

I was looking at PC across all ranks. Though I suspect you posted this in hopes people who didn’t click the link would read your comment and become convinced I saw the wrong data.
Also, the next most banned characters are hyper mobile on PC. Freja and Phara, Doomfist and Hamster, Mercy and Moira. Looks like people may be as annoyed at high mobility as I am, but its not enough bans to say anything definitively.

Interesting stats. I still think banning Sombra is a waste of a ban slot.
Heroes that are more niche or map specific may need to become more generalized if they’re always banned where they perform well.
If this is why they buffed Widowmaker, we’re just going to vote to ban her on more maps if they don’t address the reason why she’s banned on those maps to begin with. 
I also hope to God that Sojourn not getting a high ban rate doesn’t make the balance team think she’s okay. She’s still an overpowered abomination (just now outshined by an even more egregious hero, Freja). Please please please please please adjust Sojourn. 3 seasons is too much.

I would think a hero who is so egregiously overpowered that they control matches and pose a significant advantage should be banned more than the hero who simply annoys people.

Personally I don’t see the Teleport-Cloak now that much different than the Passive Cloak… At least with the later if she just teleported out/up, you had a better time window to chase her down rather than just “Highground (Strafe falling), Invis and movespeed immediatly with Damage not decloaking her”
Ha ha ha… “Might.” I love you, man. How do I become this optimistic? It took them 4 weeks with the highest banrate for a hero I have ever seen to still wonder what needs to be done. Holy!
