Thomas Wayne: Why do we fall, Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.
And yet, she’s still being outperformed by hitscans.
I have an idea for a rework… What if we made Sierra a hitscan?
I honestly think that a lot of people thought she was hitscan at first.
But at 9 per shot, I think that would be fair. Considering that Soldier does 20 per shot?
I love how you guys brought the coolest mobility to the game Destiny strand hunter grapple, but then you ruined her giving her full auto projectile and autoaim
God I love diversity-by-committee. It’s how diversity works in real life! This is why I’m a landscaper by day, car mechanic by night, refer to my friends as “mis compas,” other latino friends as “la raza,” and have the right complexion to be seen as who I am. Add in a lore-accurate Honduran accent, and you have: Me!
It’s nice to have a real Southern hero (nothing West of Louisiana counts as the South) with her being from Virginia, but now I hope we get an ultra Cajun hero. As someone from down there, I authorize y’all to use super stereotypical lines and accents. We like those.
I really enjoyed that article! ![]()
I had no idea that “African-American Vernacular English (AAVE)” was a recognized dialect. So cool!

And I had no idea Blizzard had a Black Employee Network that they consult with for character creation. Wild!

I love how the Devs weaved military-aspects with her Southern African-American heritege. I thought that was an awesome blending that reminded me of Bubby from Forrest Gump in a way. Very cool ![]()
These are the kinds of in-depth articles I love to read! Thank you Devs.

P.S. Can we get an emote for Sierra with the colorful Pupfish?
Thanks!

Please, I beg. Stop with the millennial writing.
I don’t care if it sounds corporate or if it sounds like legal jargon, but my god, anything other than this. It reads like a reddit post.
“The untold story of Soldier 00—the first recipient of the enhancement serum—”
You mean “The first successful recipient of the enhancement serum.” Most people didn’t survive the serum and that’s a key detail that makes Reaper and Soldier 76 unique. Stop making me fix your mistakes.
Also, Virginia? Really…? Of all the interesting southern states (AKA Louisiana), you chose Virginia?
Sierra - used 30 commitees and 75 sub commitees to make sure everything feels “correct”
Mcree- idk do some cowboy stuff
Still waiting for the ability to spam a “Bless your heart” voiceline.
Well yeah, it’s below the mason-dixon line (if you want to get that technical about it) and it has one of the highest rates of enrollment (per capita) in the military out of all the US states (I would know, I live there and half my friends that I grew up with are in the military)
I’m aware. I grew up only a couple miles away from it, hence why I’m annoyed about it. A 5th U.S character and they chose to, not only make them another southerner, but an uninteresting southerner at that.
They could’ve easily made her Cajun which is distinctly different from the existing characters and an underutilized culture/subculture.
Genuinely curious: What about “growing up a couple miles away from it” made it so annoying? That didn’t paint much of a picture for me lol, are you just annoyed with military culture or southern culture in general (or maybe both?) or something else?
i kind of like the hero a bit but i havnt played her yet heh. the hype is dying down and she isnt getting picked right away so its an opportunity to play her at the moment…
still i dont know, i just cant bring myself to play the the new hero for some reason. maybe im scared of the unknown…
i mean i am sure she is pretty easy and straightforward compared to the last hero anran and freja a while ago (as far as female dps heroes go)
This should be an Ashe line for sure. I grew up in Texas, and that definitely would be in her daily language coming from high society.
I’d also accept a stereotypical Boston character with heavy accent.
Laughs in Bastion Unit.
