Lifeweaver is more so a pretty “boy”. Femboys are much more femenine and girly while identifying as male.

A femboy is someone who identifies as male, is biologically male, but acts, dresses, and otherwise appears to be female. Lifeweaver is male and in touch with his feminine side, but he still wears male clothing and has masculine features like his jawline and chest. A femboy would look closer to Mercy.

The implication being that they can’t add representation while making the game more enjoyable to play… as if the people creating the character designs and backstories are the same people who do the balance or work on improving the game’s systems etc.
I’m not here campaigning for a femboy hero but I really don’t understand why this line of thinking always comes up in these kinds of threads. It makes no sense when you think about it lol

What will help to increase the playerbase isn’t representation of niche groups though. If we really only care about increasing raw numbers, it would be catering to the female playerbase. There are still way higher number of males playing Overwatch. There’s room for more females to pick up Overwatch. I think cute characters like Juno with the My Hero Academy skin was the right move.
