We need to talk about Ana

If Blizz took her as an example, then they should buff the rest of the healers up to Ana’s level. Unfortunately that will never happen.

Anti heal has never been a problem. Why? Because as Rein you’d survive more than 2 seconds. Now the ttk is much lower, we have a lot of burst dmg and ccs.
If Ana hits you with anti-heal (if she’s in an average/good team) you’re dead (if you have not a Zarya).
In my opinion Ana is not the issue here. No one is complaining about Willo’s dead zone now. Anyone was when in Paladins there was much more burst dmg.
Just nerf dmg (and heal) and introduce some dmg mitigation (exp for tanks). Anti heal will return garbage then.

Come on, Ana is just solid, skill-dependent and pretty fun to play, that’s why she’s in every game. If you think Ana gets too much value with the nade, then what do you think about Bap?

Ana is in a “special class” of heroes that are untouchable with any meaningful nerfs along with Tracer and a few others

Simple answer - because you need massive healing to make your teammates work. And most other heroes got theirs removed.

Ana with nade can produce healing output of Coalescence. Plus best CC in game. Plus one of best support ults, that also works wonders to keep teammate alive, despite all damage poured on them, while also making them dangerous.

And Ana is one of most boring heroes I can imagine.

why is it that people think all the heros who are “Fun to play” are the exact heros who are entirely unfun to play against?

I don’t find Ana fun to play both against and as. But she got power, so you got to use one.

Because most tanks suck and can’t play without a ton of heals.

well thats because of power creep, not because tanks suck

damage has increased 10 fold since launch, but tank health and shields have been unchanged or nerfed drastically

I think they mean most tank players suck, not tanks in general.

And none of this is Ana’s fault.

It is still 135 hps. That is very high, and even if it is hitting 3 targets, it will still do that for over 1 second. And at that point it would just be high burst aoe healing if she is doing 135hps to 3 targets.

If that isnt burst, then bap doing 50 or 70 every 0.9s certainly isnt.

Orb is 75 health per second, for a maximum of 300 (and that’s a shared pool between all targets). If she throws her orb at a group, she’ll be lucky to heal each target for 75 over the span for a second. That’s why I don’t call it burst.

I guess you could count it as burst if you’re combining it with her primary fire, but that combination is only available every 10 seconds. It’s not her primary method of healing unlike Ana and Baptiste.

Every 8 seconds, wiki says 65 healing not 75. But either way, of course im counting it along with her primary fire, as that is when it heals so much. And if we are counting it as a group of players, she would be healing 135 to 4 ppl for a second, then back down to 70. That is burst. If bap isnt hitting directs he does less than moira without orb, with directs very slightly more. And no where near orb plus m1 moira.

“Burst” typically isn’t something that happens over a second. It’s near-instant or at least over a few ticks. A second is a relatively long time.

I’d personally classify Moira’s orb as something more akin to Lucio’s Amp It Up ability - although it does a lot more healing. Just another example of powercreep in action, really.

I agree with this post. Let’s continue to gut all of the non-dps characters. They’re so oppressive to play against as a DPS.

Ana’s pick rate is so high, because she’s one of the only support heroes that requires actual FPS mechanics and feels impactful. I find Mercy incredibly boring to play.

I’m so tired of people complaining about any unique type of utility in the game. If it’s not straight up healing, it’s OP.

Mercy Rez, mercy damage boost, discord orb, nade, sleep dart, speed boost, shield bash, immortality field are all abilities that I see frequent posts on these forums about.

something has got to give, and considering they refuse to buff tanks, nerfing ana is the only way to go

Then tanks will suck a lot more, since we lose one of supports with massive healing.

its not her healing that is the problem, its the anti heal and radius of the explosion from the nade, thats what needs nerfing
