"We let you down when it comes to delivering OW content."

I’m not interested in getting outraged by pointless predictions and slippery slopes, dude. If you want to, that’s your prerogative.

The post you’re replying to already addresses this.

They have not broken their promise regarding the OW2 roadmap yet.

How many poor seasons will it take for them to go back to 6v6? Hopefully, less than one.

Cosmetics represent a different % of OW2 to each player individually.

To some people, the skins are a massive part of the game. To others like yourself. They’re clearly nothing.

It’s just one opinion vs another.

This was kind of the case for most of OW’s balance issues, like two+ tanks layer abilities (dive/Ana 2x healing nade tripple tank/ double barrier) or a support enabling a specific tank set (Bunker/goats/ mercy 2.0 orisa stall/death ball)

Technically twice, OWL had a lot of doom dive comps right of the back before a nerf in beta 2 patch.

but the hit was a tad to much, and might swing back around.

it would have been funny to see dive be the first OW2 meta.

I would find it very funny, and honestly not that surprising.

They’re already giving away everything for 3 seasons if you already own Overwatch.

A lot of people will have rose tinted glasses for at least a year.

3 seasons?

No, that’s if you buy the Watchpoint Pack.

For owning Overwatch 1, you get Kiriko, which should’ve been free in the first place.

And 2 mediocre skins.

Damnit. I forgot all about that stupid pack…

I still think it wont matter for a while. It all depends on how many people bought the pack for the beta or even just to pay Blizzard for their continued support.

I dont see a lot of people complaining about the pass right away. They’ll be too busy enjoying Kiriko for free and leveling up the new pass.

like it has ever fixed anything…

So they’ll make up for that by not allowing me to play OW2…

BRILLIANT!!!

we may never know how bussiness works there is reason we’re just gamers not bussiness men/women

Don’t give people in positions of power much credit.

Here’s the truth. Most people in positions of power in any field are out of touch with reality. They wing it and don’t have much insider knowledge. People give them way too much credit. Never trust ‘the experts’.

Simple. People would quit. Just like many people quit over brigs release did they not? It drove people away from the game that such a game breaking hero existed for as long as she did.

Add broken heroes and allow them to exist for too long and your player base dies because a mandatory hero has to be grinded to unlock and therefore win. And even when unlocked the entire match revolves around the one broken hero so nobody else gets to have fun.

Bp heroes might be rather strong but not game breakingly strong like junkerqueen who only really lasted the 3 weeks of the beta (and like a month of owl but owl plays each stage on one patch without changing midway so that’s not fair. at least until they get to become playable in comp ig.

And heros, ya doofus.

:joy:

Nothing as always. Always buzzwords or “dramatic” lines to appeal to those who hate OW2.

repeat after me
“if you can spend money and get a gameplay advantage before other players it is pay2win”

Except that’s not what p2w means. P2W means an advantage that can only be acquired by paying real money. That’s not what is happening here. Secondly, kiriko, despite being pretty good, is nowhere near broken or overpowered so having her is more like an additional choice rather than a full on advantage.

Pay-to-win: “Games that let you buy better gear or allow you to make better items then everyone else at a faster rate and then makes the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying.”

kiriko is considered by anyone who’s playing the third closed beta S tier.
She is the only hero in the game with access to a proper aoe cleanse, which locks an important tool.

you delude yourself if you think p2w can only mean “buy something and win instantly”. It’s about people paying having an objective advantage over people who don’t play, which “access to all heroes in a counterpick based game is”.
Overwatch doesn’t have the self balance tools other games with locked heroes do, so no, they don’t make this “ok”.
