Just all make a pact, ban mercy every single game.
Eventually mercy mains will be fed up and complain about it so blizzard will pander to them.
Not a fan of hero bans. Because it defeats the purpose of counter swapping in some way. Plus your are just trying to run away from a certain hero, you aren’t improving, at all. But if they insist I could try to like it. But I am not looking forward into this.

I think they’re adding everything they can possibly think of in an attempt to stop the bleeding out of players to Rivals and other games.
But at this point, match quality is forever broken due to smurfing. Every match has at least 1 smurf or new player on each side and it’s just a gamble which one the matchmaker put in. There are no more GGs. It’s just too frustrating to engage in new modes and features when it’s a stompfest.
For some heros, getting rid of the thing that makes people not want to play against them would literally mean deleting a major part of their identity, or rendering it so weak that it may as well not exist, which would probably make its mainers more upset than just not being able to pick them from time to time.
And a lot of supposed counters still take more skill to deploy than most players have, so sadly they’re not much of an answer (I remember when Sombra made Fist unplayable on demand, now he laughs at the puny hack period)
As long as we can ban Ana, I’m good with it. OW would be SUCH a better game without every team fight revolving around turning people purple every dozen seconds. Imagine that, OW an actually fun, skill-based game.
BRING ON THE BANS… will literally save OW.

How are you doing with the hero ban news Dodo? At least now you’ll get to see an actual system tried so you can stop claiming the hero pools were the same thing.

You obviously don’t play a hero that is easily hard-countered. Try playing hog. If you just swap every time the other team counters then you will never play the heroes you enjoy. Being able to ban Ana will make hero bans worthwhile for a lot of tank players.
When you say “we don’t want it” you really mean YOU don’t want it. Plenty of players do want it.
I don’t know what are you talking about and who are these “we”, but the hero bans is literally the best announcements yet.
All hero-based team competitive games have bans. It is a norm. OW needed it from the beginning. It adds player agency. It discourages one-tricking. Literally only pros and no cons.
I’m glad they’re not going to be in quick play at least. I keep getting sucked back into comp and this will help me to not queue for it (this is genuinely great for me) I do wish map picking would come to quick play though!

And if they didn’t meant “we (all) the people” (which was the case) your point is invalid.
So unless you read their mind and knew they meant literally everyone (which would be stupid to just assume, given the context), you literally have no point.

One of the few things I agree one hundred percent on, and strongly. The bans are just to wash their hands of their inability to balance this game. It won’t be like bans in other games with variety, there will be a hard ban meta lol. It will be something to bleed the playercount even more and they will have no choice but to revert.
