People get chat bans all the time. There are posts like every day on these forums of ppl complaining they got silenced for no reason. And go on to show why they did.
You can’t silence someone before they say anything, and if they don’t consistently say things to be reported, they won’t ever be silenced. You will not be able to stop people from this mild trash talking. So you have the option to turn off your chat if it is such a big deal to you.

being called AI isn’t toxic, that is so far removed from toxicity that it waters the toxicity word down to a trickle, to where really hurtful statements may get glossed over, because of your misuse of the word toxicity.

Making example out of context, here is a community if devs wake up and silence those people you see some improvement, but till there are people like you it’s hard , for sure I stay on the net and don’t care of what i read on other sides. Unfortunately this forum and whoever is responsible for this game doesn’t understand the very simple concept of preventing toxicity / trash talk so they want it to keep happening.
The Heroes of the Storm team had the most common sense by removing it right from the start since they knew how awful and terrible of a person your average Blizzard game user is.

How is it stupid if they did it for their other games? What’s stupid is them not doing it for this one. Years of these threads being made constantly have only proven that Blizzard players are not mature enough to have the privilege to chat to the other team since it’s only used for bad things.

Buddy. It doesn’t matter how many times you do something stupid. It doesn’t get less stupid. If anything, it gets way more stupid because you’re repeating the same mistakes.
No, it’s not. I’ve had MANY positive interactions in this game that wouldn’t have been possible without match chat. You’re allowed to be a snowflake. That’s why you get to turn it off. Suggesting that it gets removed because you can’t handle mild toxicity makes you a pathetic person and incredibly selfish.
I report everything, gotta do my part to help clean up the mess they have made. Will it work? Probably not, but it’s worth a shot.

When people say GG, they’re trying to be polite.
When someone calls someone “AI” it’s an obvious insult. They’re not comparable.
That being said, I don’t think that sort of insult in isolation needs to be actionable. However, I highly doubt that someone who insults people over a game once only does it that once.
