Damn that’s rough.
Losing RPG progress is always infuriating, but the positive is you can regrind with an improved hero. But that time investment can be a struggle to commit to.

Yup, silver linings. Was thinking of restarting on MH anyway lol.
Few things:
LMAO 1k Hours queue im done dudee its like ive been saying this games dead because of the queues.
No one wants to sit through a longer queue than the game or watch a streamer queue for 60 minutes because theres less players in higher ranks like this games so done for.
Honestly just add soft role queue where you can switch between roles but its locked 2/2/2 or bring back open queue as primary gamemode.
Honestly that’s the part I don’t get, they are butchering the MOBA aspects of the game and forcing everything into a FPS style of play, and yet at the same time forcing role limits to be structured like a MOBA! It makes no sense, if they’re going to remove the moba from the game, at least remove role queue as well.
That’s kind of my point here.
Either keep OW unique or just fully commit to the FPS non team hero shooter.
Reduce barrier health and tank hitboxes. Give them all 300HP. Ramp up their damage. Call it a day.
At this point if they are going to continue butchering the MOBA aspects, that would be a “better” solution.
Honestly I think you’re right, than we can remove role queue and the game will actually be better than it is currently.
Paladins has a very generous tank/hero roster, but many matches go on without a tank or support hero; Never without a DPS hero though.
For about a week, then back to normal.
What is gonna be the next excuse I wonder? when there are more tanks and supports in the game and queue are still the same.
In the history of gaming supports and tanks have always been less popular. Nothing will magically solve that, unless they are grossly overpowered and earn people the reward they want to earn. Separate SRs to begin with is already a huge deterrent. Why would one care about their tank SR when they dream about being a DPS rank 1 god?
Unachievable for pretty much everyone, true, but games are built on allowing people to dreams and fantasize. OW killed every aspect of that with their garbage MM and poor management of roles and balance.
Holy crap is this a reasonable take on the forums?
What’s funny is they made it even worse than current OW1. OW1 if you REALLY want to play OW, you play tank or support. Tank you’ll match in about 3s and support is usually 1 min or lower with DPS being the only insane queue times.
OW2 on the otherhand now made tanking as fun as DPS. So in OW2 where everyone was forced to play the same mode not splitting up the playerbase, the queue times for either tank or DPS were stupidly high. So high infact that if you wanted a match in a reasonable amount of time, you now only had support as an option meaning on average, more people were waiting even longer than they do in OW1. It truly is amazing just how bad Blizzard seem to be at making all roles actually fun to play without making one either insanely more enjoyable or insanely unenjoyable.
If you are not having fun now then OW1 is not going to get anything new that will save it for you. You might as well take a break, its going down hill until the squeal comes out
Im excited for 5s and one less tank
Yeah, no. Long queues are the result of Role Queue being added, they’re not a cause of anything. Let’s not forget, RQ is what those affected most by it (DPS mains) wanted. It was added cause they hated “6 DPS teams” and were “okay with longer queue times if it meant balanced teams”. Back when we didn’t have RQ, you’d hit QP or comp or even arcade and roll into a game, but then we got this feature and people (mostly DPs mains) hated queue times, so they started quitting.
Like I sadi, DPS mains were swearing they wanted that, making countless threads about it just to have have RQ added.
And how do you propose to do that? They tried adding priority passes, but those did little. Role Queue created this issue and that is all.
If tanks and supports are fun to play there is no queue problem.
It doesn’t matter how fun they are to play because those roles carry responsibility beyond “shoot the bad guy.” Few players like that extra responsibility.
