There should be an option to “kick” a player from a team if they are intentionally throwing the game.
Yesterday there was a player I got in two matches that engaged for a couple minutes before just coming out of spawn and using the dance emote the rest of the game. It was comp as well so I was getting really pissed at this player. I encouraged everyone to report him in both games. We did end up losing the second game and that nullified the previous win.
If you want to see this guy the code for the first game is 6RTMPM. He is playing the Torb. He does this about 2:30 left in the round. The other game is D8DRZK. He literally moves to last spawn point and just sits there.
Being able to vote kick a player and tie it to the penalties for leaving the match would be a great motivator to stay and actually play. Maybe even prioritize a replacement for the kicked player. It would have to be unanimous, of course.
We were already down to 4 active players so kicking him wouldn’t have mattered in the outcome of the round and eventually the match.
Didn’t DEVS make it on purpose that you can’t quit so you would not need to play 4v5 while machmaker tries to find that 1 missing player?
Whats the problem? You want people to be able to quit freely a games that are complete stomps or don’t?
Why won’t we address the core problem that is in gameplay, instead we try to make some bad fix and then we cry that it is not working. Instead of patching up the bruised leg we try to cut it off and say that we will be able to walk better without it.
I am not talking about people who leave on their own. Not sure where you got that from my post.
There is a reason that guy starts to troll. To me it seems it seem it was stomp game. Lets be honest did u get stomped and then he started to troll?
He can’t leave because if he will he gets penalty so now you and him are stuck in game that nor you nor he can win.
Instead of blaming him try to see the big picture, there is always a reason for an action, so now ask yourself what was the reason for his action.
LOL I honestly don’t give a flip about his intention. It was comp. If a player is just going to give up during a comp game then they should stick to QP. Everyone else was putting in the effort to win, which we did in the first game, despite his antics.

Oh didn’t see it was a comp, my appologies. Then it changes a bit my narrative, but still the core issue stands.
You can always avoid after game and report. Then it’s more on you that you didn’t avoid the guy after the 1st game he griefed you.
Nobody would abuse the system to kick someone for throwing but is just struggling. Obviously.

Nah, this community isn’t emotionally or intellectually intelligent enough to be trusted with a vote kick option, especially not one in comp.

back to square one, might aswell let them “leave”
if you’d have to go through the hassle of “kicking” them,
which would require “effort” from devs to implement - nothing they can afford.
A vote to forfeit match is a better option, if kicking was a thing that would only turn the game into 4v5 which is an autoloss 90% of time in comp, but having a thrower in your team is the same thing so you wouldn’t really gain anything. However a forfeit vote would just end the game entirely, saving time for everyone. A votekick might work in QP though, because of instant backfill.

Your good. Honestly, it is so rare that I get the same person in back to back games that I didn’t think about the “avoid teammate” thing. I did report him in both games.
