At the moment it looks so basic it’s almost not worth making fuss about. Once it gets good enough it will be so plainly op to the extent everybody will agree it’s not good for the game.
If you know those online poker stat gathering/analysis tools you can see what visor will be capable of doing given enough time. The info will be detailed like “player X, when playing Genji on map Y, takes the left flank for the first engagement 73.67% of the time”. This can be further augmented by things like overlay indication of potential widow spot with past gathered statistics factored in, showing 30% on yellow point, 45% on red point, etc.
Of course it wont guarantee a win or help you land a shot mechanically, but real time visual display of statistics is a very powerful thing. It won’t make your win rate to go from 30% to 70%, but over the course of many games it will nudge you from, say, something like 45% to 55%.
At high level maybe it won’t matter too much, but using this and just following the stat based recommendations will help you climb for sure.
