Why is vendetta of all character locked out of an ability in spawn?

Ball also can’t use Grapple out of spawn.

Whether it’s really necessary for Vendetta to have this, it’s certainly a question. They did buff her HP recently, so maybe it’s still justified?

Vendetta is just a mess. They nerfed all the wrong things because they didn’t want to touch her Overhead or her HP, and by the time they figured it out, she was useless. Considering they buffed her HP, I don’t think they learned their lesson.

It really isn’t.

It makes sense for ball because he’s a nuisance to kill with an effective like 1000 HP at any time on top of hyper mobility.

Vendetta has mobility yes, but she’s also well known to die constantly. Even when she was strong, she died off cooldown, let alone now where she’s by far the worst DPS in the game.

It was a bad change then because it didn’t affect her pain points and it’s even more so a bad change now because it just feels like garbage to start with it on cooldown.

Ball or Kiriko are the two cases to make an argument for no silliness out of spawn. Kiriko because she can more or less get to spawn instantly out of spawn, but at the very least gave up all her mobility, has next to not tankiness, and only has suzu at best as a threat and cant’ do it without another ally in front.

Ball on the other hand is a tank and notorious for last point stalls because he’s such a fast swap people aren’t always prepared to deal with and has a very lage health value.

But, vendetta again? She’s no self sustain, barely tanky at all, but I guess this was hyper releaes state nerf.

Dunno if ā€œbuffā€ is the right word, they reverted the previous nerf and traded 25 armor for 25 HP…

I didn’t want to say revert (since it wasn’t exactly one), and I didn’t wanna use too many words to explain a partial revert since I’m at work. I chose the safest lol

I decided to just guess that people are aware enough of the patch notes to know what I-m talking about.

i dont really understand why tracer and reaper are allowed to get out of spawn super fast but vendetta isnt

they all travel similar distances and in her current state vendetta is not really stalling objectives for very long

Yeah, they need to revert that change. Mobility is her thing, and she’s not a viable stall hero, which is why the same change was made for Ball.

Tracer is allowed because she is the golden child of OW. She’s never allowed to be less than S tier.

Mostly people that don’t play Tracer but I do know we have at least one resident Tracer player on the forums. One who takes pride in being repulsively belligerent, for some reason

ah yes I know who your referencing! I do agree that tracer having full blinks while vendetta in on cd is very hypocritical of the devs. not anything new ofc, but since they love tracer so much i predict they will either remove the cd from spawn on vendetta or nothing at all because they are def not giving a cd on tracer out of spawn

They want to discourage the feeding/kill trading playstyle afaik. There were many complaints, I found one example Vendetta 17-15 winning

I mean besides ball every mobility characters can use their ability upon spawning.

Moira…lucio…genji…tracer…doomfist…kiriko…and the list goes on.

But vendetta ? Nuh huh no mobility from spawn even tough she has no self sustain and zero range and isnt tankier than other dps or supports.

yeah it really doesnt make sense. im trying to think of a solid reason why, but I just cant lol
