after the nerfs she seems pretty mid. high masters low gm here so maybe people are just half decent at shutting her down but shes not a throw pick and isnt oppressive so id say the nerfs were a win
Number of deaths doesn’t matter on 'detta. As long as 'detta gets key picks eventually, it’s worth to try several times. Having said that, obviously if you have to defend critical position, you should switch to conservative playing.
Well, to be fair, the extra three stacks scale a lot less than the first five per stack.
Don’t need to replace it, but they should lower how much of a percentage that it adds per stack - might even make it consistent with its Perk.
What the number ends up being is something they’ll have to test internally, if they haven’t already found an answer.
Vendetta is just another character that gets nerfed because synergies, but on its own on ladder when no one gives two **** about you, and the enemy has half a brain, she is unusable trash.
Onslaught isn’t as much a problem as you think it is.
Proccing it requires more fight uptime, and if you watch high rank Vendettas you’ll find that she is more being used as a burst assassination type hero, taking advantage of the 130 damage offered by overhead swing, particularly with Soaring Slice.
She is mostly finishing kills when the opportunity presents itself, but otherwise mostly soft engaging.
A Vendetta that overcommits is a bad Vendetta.
Not to say that it isn’t useful at all, but it is nowhere near as problematic as overhead swings.
Yep, she has to work up to that momentum before she starts getting obnoxious.
Sorta like how Zarya isn’t seen as a problem in the higher ranks because she has to absorb damage first before she can be seen as a bigger threat.
That’s not the case in the lower-to-middle ranks. Vendetta has the opposite problem compared to Sojourn and Freja; she’s more terrorizing in those lower ranks because of less pro-active and reactive players are able to defend against her shenanigans. Once she builds up that momentum (which tends to be easier to do), she can start dominating and trading for kills frequently.
And when you have a team that can capitalize and enable her frequently, she can also dominate in the upper ranks, though there is some limitations there in more organized games.
My point is that she’s obnoxious without the stacks, because of that crazy burst.
Currently - and at Grandmasters level - Vendetta’s win rate is shrinking to 51% in Asian regions. She’s still fairly high in the Americas and Europe hovering around 54% to 56%, but her pick rates have also shrank tremendously since her initial debut. Whether this is due to ban rates or the fact that she’s no longer has that new character smell, it’s not clear.
But it seems like players are adapting to her and the changes made to her over the past weekend were in the step in the right direction. Doubtless, she’ll need more changes, but it is unlikely her breakpoints are the true culprit anymore. That doesn’t mean that Overhead Strike can’t see some changes, however.
idk a single GM that has a problem with her. They all say she sucks too and the winrates inflated somehow.
I’ve said this before the only possibility has to be that she can respawn jump into a fight, get a kill die and repeat it quickly and that’s why they put her e on cd, to slow this process. She is garbage when people actually look at her. They will continue to nerf the wrong things just like freyja for several months until they realise what she needs is a small overhead nerf and a survivability buff.
Well, after the nerfs, she became so useless. She dies more than other heroes. Now they’ve also taken away mobility from respawn. She’s trash now. It’s very easy to kill her.
This hero requires much less brain power to get value from compared to others , she really needs to be toned down a lot.
It’s a fiasco in unranked play every game has one on each team and they can easily go into the full team head on and get at least 4 out of the 6 (QP open q 6v6)
Blizzard used to make good games, I guess now days filling the pockets is more ideal than having a AAA title .

You don’t have to commit as hard on Sombra as on Vendetta, but especially on defense you can play quite safe
Her sword hitbox is huge. She needs nerf to reducing the size of the hitbox. I think this is the right direction.
