Valkryie Doesn't make sense

Transcendence does the same thing for Zen. :man_shrugging:

Gotta admit- not at ALL where I thought this thread was going to go.

And I completely agree with you

I’ve asked for this very thing myself in the past.

This or ditching the tethers all together and making the single beam much much stronger all together.

I see what you mean. What I can get is it is more of a compromise that Mercy can display a player’s skill better while avoiding become Mercy 2.5 or 3.0. In this case I guess I’d agree it could be a solution.

btw, since we are on this topic, what do you think about Valkyrie Concentration? Basically the idea is to reduces the duration of Valkyrie, but increases its power. I proposed it as a way to improve Mercy’s contribution in team fights, but haven’t include much of the skill factor (well maybe a bit on ult timing).

Well, it would take away a lot of power from her kit. A doubled beam would only be 100hps, a weaker Coalesence. Buff to much and you’ve got a mini-transcendence for one person

I’d like One strong beam, if it meant Valk added some other buff, like another Rez or something.

Not really, Zen is an off healer and his ultimate is a defensive one. Valk is made to “enhance abilities”. Trans counters ultimates

Should list that moira trades good heals for no utility in her kit.
On the contrary the pros of ana are also the gamechanging effects of a well placed sleepdart or nade.

100hps main beam and the others at 50hps would be fun!

I’d say probably 90hps main with 50hps chains would be more balanced. Essentially you’d be taking 10hps off the 4 beams and adding it to main beam, that way her overall healing remains consistent

CJ: “Ah ****, here we go again.”

A lot of this game doesnt make sense. Like why is it that you have to depend on your team so much and die so fast without any way of defending yourself?

That’s… got nothing to do with it, I was responding to how you described Valk. You said it doesn’t make sense because it doesn’t accentuate what Merccy already does, but completely changes how her healing is designed - specifically, going from single-target to multi-target healing. Zenyatta also goes from a single-target healer who wants distance between him and his target outside of ult, to a multi-target healer who wants his allies to be closely grouped around him during ult.

Im sure you could test this in workshop

One change I will like for Valkyrie is the duration to be 20 seconds again

I’m confused, are you saying because Zens ult also changes his heal style, it’s okay for Mercy’s to, or are you saying Zens ult needs to be changed as well?

… but why though?

I actually have the same idea as you are. Get rid of the chain beams and powerful single target heal and 50% damage boost for an ally. But, it’s going to be very OP. If it’s last for 15 seconds, Ana’s nano boost is garbage compare to this.

And the single heal can’t even be less than a 100 hps (and damage boost is lower than 50%) or it will be underpowered (her healing potential will slightly reduced and under 50% damage boost for one ally is just underpowered) but if it was above 100 it will be OP (you can make anyone immortal with this). It’s even better than nano since you can juggle them to other ally, not just one.

If the 60 hps is reverted back, basically Mercy will eclipse Ana (again). The big main chain heals is better as you still needs to juggle your beam. The 30% damage boost to your whole ally is useful too. I can’t understand why everyone says that this is garbage compare to supercharger. Like, the drum can’t move but Mercy can, it can’t be healed but Mercy can, and it can’t move but Mercy can. There’s a reason why it’s 30 not more or else it will be overpowered.
