US east connecting to SAEL servers?

I’m having the same issue ever since the patch. Keeps connecting me to sac or sae. Only way to play a NA server is to play with a friend.

i can’t even play it with a friend. because apparently my connection is “taking the long way to the servers” but the first time it happened was yesterday after patch. ha haaaa

I did. it shows the same problem, i also did a WinMTR to a Dota2 server and i had no problem. so yeah it must be on Blizzards end.

i don’t want to queue into SAEL GAMES. i am EAST COAST NA, THIS STARTED AFTER PATCH. FIX IT. I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO PLAY SINCE NEW SUMMER PATCH. FIX IT. DONT ASK ME TO SHOW A TRACEROUTE. IVE DONE IT A HANDFUL OF TIMES AND EVERYTIME YOU HAVE SOMEONE DO IT. IT SEEMS YOU JUST IGNORE THEM AND DO NOTHING.

Yelling “fix it” without doing any of the troubleshooting steps isn’t what the forums are for. You may want to open a ticket if you need to communicate with staff directly. Otherwise, provide the data so someone can look it over and let you know what’s happening.

Follow the support documentation for WinMTR. If you’re unable to get into a game for the IP address, or you’re being connected to the wrong region, then use an IP from the table provided on that page that matches your usual region. Run the test until you encounter the issue again, or for at least 10 minutes.

Share your results in a reply:

  1. Click the “Copy Text to clipboard” button after you’ve finished the test per the instructions.
  2. Paste the text in a reply, then highlight the pasted text and click </> on the post editor.
  3. Break any links by adding a space before .com, .net, etc.

i dont think you read. I HAVE DONE ALL THE TROUBLESHOOTING AND THE FKING WINMTR TESTS. IVE CALLED MY ISP AND OTHER ISP’S THAT IVE BEEN DIRECTED TO. ITS ALL ON YOU GUYS

Where did you post them? I don’t see any in your post history. Also, I don’t work for Blizzard, I’m just another player trying to help you, so you’re misdirecting your anger.

ugh yeah i will, also sorry for being angry but these are my two off days and havent been able to play since before the summer games patch on june 16th properly.

This is where we are hearing the prefix. It seems this will be an issue on the destination as they could influence
their traffic via AS174 who they have an uplink to and have traffic changed. As the middle man in this, there is
little we can control.

I’m having the same issue beginning yesterday, central US player getting connected to SA servers. I’ve never had this happen in the 2 1/2 years I’ve played Overwatch. Anything else we can try other than rebooting router and sharing our WinMTR results?
I am also get high ping (140+) to central US servers in HOTS , I’m not sure if that tells me anything but thought I would mention it just in case.

I’m in central US as well. Same issue. Routing me through japan for some reason, which is causing the high latency

Is anyone going to do something about this? Can we get an actual answer here? After all we are costumers.

Yeah… But they are not.

They have updated with what they know. The current lack of updates suggests there is nothing to report at this time. If you need a response from the staff directly, you’ll have to open a ticket on your behalf.
