My OW has trouble lagging (like, unplayable lag) and high latency.
I used to be able to play it just fine but then there was something with my laptop and I got a new Windows installed. That’s when the lagging problem occurred. I’ve been trying to fix it but nothing seems to work. It’s been going on for almost a year I think. So, really need your help here.
My laptop is HP Pavillion 15-bc021tx
Operating system :: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Intel ® Core™ i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59GHz
RAM 4.00GB (3.89 GB usable)
my graphic driver is the latest version (391.35)
I already tried…
getting new Windows installed (again)
changing the power settings in the Nvidia Control Panel to ‘Prefer Maximum Perfomance’
disable Windows update when I play
and I tried contact HP and they told me to contact OW instead.
Also, when I play the Disk goes up very high (90-100). It does go down (and then goes up again)
Here are the screenshots of Task Manager when I play

It could be that you’re squeaking by with the absolute minimum amount of RAM. But otherwise, what graphics card are you using? Is it on the supported list?
If it is, try these steps:
Also, you said lagging and latency. Are you experiencing connection issues also?
The RAM is only 4 GB but only 10 percent of it. Do I need to upgrade the RAM to 8GB?
Also, I think my graphics card is supported. It is GeForce GTX 960, one of the 900 series.
And I tried follows all steps in ow latency problem , didnt work either. I don’t really think its the trouble with the internet connection because it is lagging when I play at home and at my dorm
I don’t know how to get the WinMTR and Traceroute so I tried google it. This is what I’ve got. But i’m not sure it is what you were asking for… If it’s not, please tell me how to get them (I dont even know what they are tbh )
Can you also do one with the resolved hostnames instead of IPs? Either way, seeing a pretty big spike on the second point you connect to, which is either going to be a modem/router or switch, depending on your network setup. If you rent all of this equipment from your ISP, you’ll need to call them for service.
