Un(Official Blizzconline Discussion) angry venting encouraged

Luckily Jeff said they plan to keep us updated  Here

“Our strategy for after BlizzConline in February is to be more communicative. I don’t know if I can officially commit to monthly updates on Overwatch 2, but we definitely want to be more communicative. And our plan is not to go dark for an extended period of time. In fact, we were discussing as recently as yesterday the opportunity of there maybe being some cool stuff we could talk about in March or April to keep people updated and to keep people going. So it’s very front-and-center in our mind to communicate more.”

Looks like complaints of no communication DID pay off, Silverblitz

AGAIN! What New Hero? Last hero was released ONE YEAR AGO. Skins are COSMETICS. New stories in a PVP game are not the type of content that will keep this game alive. It’s really not hard to understand.

It’s totally fine they are taking their time on what looks like a massive overhaul of OW.

What is really frustrating is them, for the most part, abandoning OW years before they can even announce what year OW2 will come out.

Activision/Blizzard is not short on funds, they should’ve kept up OW development at a steady clip until they actually knew what the heck they were doing with OW2.

I understand that you have very low expectations and you don’t understand the word “content” however you should refrain from using bad words on the forums.
Please just stop talking and repeating same thing over and over again with no actual substance.

The nonsense you’re writing is just unreal. No, I don’t think new skins are new content. It’s just cosmetics. No, short hero stories are not any sort of substantial content and just because I don’t enjoy them doesn’t mean I don’t love this game.

Please stop using “entitlement” as an argument. It has nothing to do in this situation. Just because YOU are fine with waiting for another 2 years to get anything new that’s fine but don’t expect everyone else to have the same ridiculously low expectations.

The fact that new content is being held hostage for the sake of OW2 that doesn’t even have a release window at this point is the main issue here and any player had the right to be disappointed by that.

Go enjoy your stories and new skins. Some of us are care about actual content.

I mean the only thing I’m really really disappointed in was that there was no cinematic. As mentioned the last cinematic was Zero Hour, released in November 2019. With no cinematic apparent at Blizzconline, that means it might be two whole years before the next. I do find that somewhat disappointing. Granted, it was very interesting seeing characters interact with each other in the cutscenes, but without dialogue…well, its a bit sad :frowning:

oooh we love to hear it. like i’ve said before - i don’t want to rush the game. if it doesn’t come out until 2024 that’s literally fine if that’s what the game needs, but the not knowing while simultaneously expecting obedient patience drives me insane. you can’t just ghost your fanbase and expect brainwashed obedience.

i mean, granted, the blizz fanboys will sit pretty for 10 years and wait for their masters to drop a morsel of content accidentally, but the rest of us would like a modicum of communication lmao.

They already said they will be more transparent and informative multiple times and they never were for more than a month or two. Expect to be let down
