Canceling the escape mechanic of any player is a death sentence for that player and it isn’t even an ult…

Sombra for example, translocate to get out of danger, she is usually low on health when she does this… So now she is low on health, and can’t translocate and you think this is balanced and a good idea???

Yes, but nade is not fast enought to do that for most escapes. Like I said: maybe Rein or DF. Maybe even Winston, but all other will just get away. Or he predicts it, throws the nade and they finish them off before the timer runs out.

Poor Sombra, cant play the hide and seek game anymore without the risk of being killed? Oh poor thing… sorry, but especially for Sombra this was needed. Cant wait for the rework.

See a Cass? Play more careful or get your ticket to spawn. That simple. You also dont run Winston against a Bastion and then cry because his DPS is to strong for your shield…

So… a counter to mobility based heroes is not fine… because why exactly? Because that is the so called rock paper scissors dynamic you talk about. Low mobility heroes dont care about it, while its a high thread to mobility based heroes if they get to close to him. Again: why is it bad or do you just want to stand there and say “I cant explain it why, but it sucks!”

Yeah, 5 seasons too late. The very second they said “we’re nerfing cc” the very next question should have been “what about the mobility heroes?” But it wasn’t.

But hey, Blizz could still do it and rework mag nade another time. Unlikely but still there.

Theres only 1 route that always introduces grief in the game: Adding more CC
What does Blizz do to balance the damage of Cassidy nade? switching it to CC instead. Nice.
Just make the target “vulnerable” for 2 sec or something and do a bit of damage, like 50. Vulnerable would be like a Discord, receives 25% more damage for those 2 sec (and doesn’t stack with Discord).

Done.
Its just that easy.

I guess you issue here is you are only looking at this from a single perspective… Your own…

Mobility heroes are mobile for a reason… To survive… Tracer has one of the lowest HP in the game if not the lowest… Her mobility is vital for her to get any value… Especially now since she was also nerfed…

This nade does more than Sombra’s hack…

Again, Sombra has pretty low HP… Her ability to translocate is vital to her success…

Hindering mobility totally breaks the game for a number of players… Mobility is how they survive… Perhaps we should make a skill that disarms Cassidy for a couple seconds… I mean he does shoot to much doesn’t he?? Maybe Sombra’s hack can silence every player that is hacked?? Imagine EMP then…

Try and look at this from other perspectives…

I know it’s balanced but at the same time its not. The only reason it’s not is because the developers were aiming to give highly impactful CC to tanks only with barely any outliers like Lucio and Ana. This point I just made if the ONLY reason Doomfist became a tank and it’s also the reason they removed stun from flash grenade and turned it into a damage weapon instead. Now it’s both a damage weapon AND a stun so it’s a buffed version of his Overwatch 1 flash.

Y’all are tripping. The reason it isn’t balanced is because it has range AND CC. it can’t have both. It’s that simple.

Tracer has FOUR get out of jail free cards, Genji has two and one resets if he does 1 damage to someone who dies. Ball can roll through your team, press E, get 1000+ health.

Sorry that CC was what kept them in check in OW1, removing CC from almost everyone but tanks was a mistake.

Seeing it getting a range nerf. Either homing remove or increase cool down with it. With Him and Mei getting CC back moving Doom to Tank was a failure move in general.

I love them saying only tanks can have impactful cc which is why they’re reworking doom only for them to let ana cree mei junk etc keep impactful cc!
