I wonder how long it will take the devs to realise that they cant balance Sojourn for masters+ while keeping her 1 shot without gutting the rest of her kit. But then that runs into the wall of them wanting to make her good in low ranks too.

Something needs to give.

Doomfist buffs sound interesting, but I don’t know if making empowered punch more common is the way to go. I guess their logic is that if you’re getting more super punches off you generate more shields with the passive and you’re also dealing way more damage.

Maybe put power block on a meter and buff the passive so it generates shields from damage absorbed by blocking? That feels kind of in line with making Doomfist an active “fighting game” type character?

My brain has always loved the data aspect of games like this, and I would DIE for actual general performance and pickrate data.
Its also been weird seeing how some heroes play loops (especially DPS) are so annoyingly similar to similar characters, as in some heroes in subsets I feel have lost their identity. Ashe, Cassidy, and soldier used to be the best all round hitscans. Sojourn I feel has taken that cake. Bastion was forcibly removed from the “Defensive” core of DPS that was left (Torb, Sym, Bastion, Orissa, Ana, etc) and is a weird combo of Cassidy and Orissa, and has the same weaknesses as such.

Balancing Sojoun so she’s better at lower levels while making her not be OP at higher levels is insanely easy.

I lose braincells everytime when I hear Blizzard talk about balancing anything ever.

So symmetra is probably getting her passive back , but then will they remove the 100 ammo as well? cause then there’s no point. Also “shooting shields will be fun for you “ like , no bro I wanna shoot people without getting trampled on

The slow on her E. That has to give. It’s butcheringly oppressive in low ranks and completely unnecessary for her overall effectiveness in high ranks. She also needs to have, at least, attacked her enemy before getting 1-shot potential on them. Mccree has to at least 1-tap someone before being able to kill them with nade - sojourn needs that kind of limitation as well.

if doom block worked like a dva matrix i could totally get behind that, still giving him the damage he would be taking at an 80 percent reduction but also negating everything that hits him making ana dart feel like less of a death sentence maybe

imagine buffing stuff while nerfing stuff & not letting 1 happen to see how it changes rest & then adjusting from there.

if you are troubleshooting an issue you do it 1 at a time and see outcome before doing more else you dont know what fixed issue and what wasnt needing changed.

one of most mobile dps vs the dps with the clunkiest of mobility…

this reminds me of OW1 where devs aid “we’ll keep eye on her and buff if needed” after nerfing her to 50 hp/s…

then a yr passes shes legit god awful and nothing done and forced to suffer for a legit yr.

maybe just maybe it isnt mobility translating into win rate?
if a mercy can survive entire match? it doesnt mean she can win. just means she can survive.

She is the only support whos entire job is channeling mb1, mb2, pressing e and q when needed. shes basically spectating her targets not playing the game.

want to deal dmg? lets have a slow weapon swap to sue gun and whats that? u need heal some1? lets slowly swap back to staff…

wanna rez? enjoy high speed gameplay being brought to a stop as u channel leaving you a free kill…

Valk as an ult feels weak.

flying? helpful but echo has it as cd.

inf gun? niche uses.

aoe healing? its moira’s primary and bap’s primary and dumbs the game down for duration. (casue imagine wanting to have to know who to target when it just goes to every1)

Mercy, to date, is the ONLY support who only has 1 way to heal thus she can’t handle sudden spikes of dmg to target.

all other supports have primary and a cd/ult. (mercy’s ult doesnt change her healing just gives her 5 hp/s bump) they can use priamry, the cd/ult and have burst healing. (lucio is in this as his barrier is basically an overheal with rapid decay)
she has for 3 yrs been the least gameplay making hero.
she had lowest on fire rate for longer.
shes likely had the lowest POTG in games history for just as long.

also would it of really been hard to revert the sojourn buff to size of projectile of her 1shot? it wa that buff that made her so good (as it rewarded you for lesser aim)

If this is true, why even have this forum at all? Why not just rely on the reddit groups or god forbid twitter? Bliz continues to make baffling decisions with this game. I’ve never seen a company try so hard to force something to fail.

Not every balance patch needs to be a rework for a hero. Symmetra could use a new ult but that’s a new ult, not a whole kit change.

What’s so wrong with Moira’s kit that it needs an overhaul? Could maybe use a few changes like:
-Increase cooldown on Fade by a bit;
-Increase duration of healing orb while reducing duration of damage orb by a tiny bit. See what’s next from this.

Hog is not weak. He’ll be hard to get right as he pretty much plays like a tanky flanker/assassin.

Yes and it’s not like Push helps whatsoever, its an okay gamemode but it is FAR too flanky.

Reaper can be played as a flanker yes? Most people do as a matter of fact.
