Turn Audio OFF not just to zero

So I know you can just turn audio down to zero.
My question is when this happen does it turn off in-game audio queues? Like in the code will setting it to zero block the resource loading and function calls?
I am tyring to find ways to boost performance as much as possible since I am playing on a laptop, and killing all audio should show a boost in performance - however small.

Muting audio will not increase fps… my advice would be playing on low graphics at 75% render scale.

Yeah muting audio doesn’t really affect your performance at all.

Even if it did, how would muting Audio be worth a few extra frames per second?

Muting out audio by in-game volume settings is not likely to help minimize the impact of your performance on your system. There are ways to maximize performance however which you can check out here:

It won’t do anything. The game is still programmed to load the files regardless what comes from the speakers.
If you have issue with your sound device, you can disable it from the device manager but some games won’t run without detecting a sound device.
