Tribalism Within Overwatch Is The Real Problem

If you pay for lootboxes, the only product you are entitled to is the lootbox, nothing more. If you pay for OWL tokens, the only product you are entitled to are the tokens, nothing more. Same with merchandise and blizzcon tickets.

All of those products support the game. And the game would not be be able to survive without people buying those products.

By your own logic, these customer’s voices are worth more than your “only bought the base game” voice. So maybe you should sit down and have several seats while the actual paying customers voice their feedback. Afterall that’s YOUR logic, not mine.

Well, with three distinct roles available, and the devs awareness that a majority of players tend to gravitate towards one role, and the fact that dlc content has been free, it’s only fair that said content gets distributed evenly amongst the roles.

If all the devs did was to release tanks and supports since launch, Dps players would be neglected, regardless of the fact that they currently have the most heroes to choose from.

This is a problem that can be seen in real life not just in gaming and isn’t something that can be just fixed overnight. As long as some people feel as though they arent being treated fairly there will always be this mentality of “us vs you”.

I personally am impartial in these arguments cuz I couldn’t care less about this rivalry and just want balance to be done swift and precisely :bowing_man:t5:‍♂

I can tell you for free but you need to buy the base answer first and use my launcher. There is also this feature to buy stuff in game but rest assured you really, really don’t need to participate, I only made billions on it.

Furthermore I have this side thing that can get you bonuses “for free” if you watch it, you can cheer for your favorite franchises - which I own - while watching ads for coca cola or buying the streamers package.

But you know, it’s all free.

It existed since release but really exploded with the launch of Brig 1.0.

I don’t get it either. This addition seemed completely normal for the devs to do. We now know Echo is the last hero we’ll get until OW2. If Echo was a support that means dps would have gone 2+ years without a new hero…

If OW2 launches with less tanks/supports than dps I’ll be complaining too that it’s unfair but for now a new dps seems fair.

Nobody is taking it out on dps players. The dps players literally made it about themselves. Support players were upset at the developers that hero 32 was made a DPs and the dps took it upon themselves to prance around saying they are glad she is a dps and supports should shut up.

I just feel disappointed and excluded, upset to an extent as a support main. The roster is way too short. We won’t have a new hero for at least a year. I’m pondering quitting even though I love Overwatch. It feels like an abusive relationship and it sucks.
