Tracer Is Un-counterable

In lower ranks?

Fam i’ll have a zenyatta, ana, and echo on my team in MASTERS and STILL i can’t do sht on my doomfist cause no one shoots it.

But… Doomfist is invulnerable :stuck_out_tongue:

I am not ignorant in the least. Look, if you have to just constantly fire in a general direction to get a kill… its just spam. I know, I know, Tracer main egos are prickly. I usually find these responses like this are a sign you are getting close to an uncomfortable truth that is in plain sight, like the fact she and Genji get serious advantages in movement… She’s as spammy as even Sombra, and its due to the silly idea that spread is a good damage mitigation mechanic.

Eh?

Only messing around ha - I don’t mind him when im Tracer, But I don’t much like when he punches straight through my rein shield and sends me across the map

Brig, McCree, Ashe, Hog, Sombra, Echo, Winston, Junkrat, Ball?

Do these heroes just like, not exist?

She and Genji also have the highest skills caps in the game :stuck_out_tongue: Spamming in a general direction doesnt really cut it… they have to be in the mix, juggling many things and chasing one target to get the team advantage by picking off a key target.

Also most characters spam at some point, breaking shields for example.

I’d say Ball actually is higher quite honestly, but regardless. Spam is spam. I know for fact these players due to the weapon cannot directly aim well in most cases. I don’t doubt they move around, but I just don’t fully buy into the player mythology surrounding these two without just looking at how these kits work in game. Tracer and Genji both just wear down targets more often than not by repeated dives, getting damage over time in most cases except on weak targets or exceptionally good aim to head shot. Same can be said of Junkrat even more so. What distinguishes spam from normal fire? Frequency needed in most cases to get an elim.

Never played mercy either tbf.

But I just don’t think it needs any change, Tracer isn’t spammy, she has to be up close or shes just tickles people like Wilson. It requires accuracy it’s not just aim and hope…

I agree 100%, but they are more dependent on it than they really should be. I’d be all down for tightening the spread for her and Genji to raise the cap but raise the floor also.

And yes, I have literally played every character in the game for 20+ hours (those two probably on the order of 40+ hours) since I came in the week before Moira went to PTR. I just can’t stand to play Mercy, so I have very little time on her.

Are those meant to be tracer counters?

I hope you’re joking when you say ashe, hog, sombra, echo, winston, ball, and junkrat…

Cree and brig I can SLIGHTLY understand (even though tracer can easily avoid everything they have) but the other ones???

From your profile it looks like you’ve never played her. This sounds more like you’ve failed to counter her. Not that she’s actually uncounterable.

I’m not. I just like… know how to manage my abilities

okay! then tracer shouldn’t have such an easy time killing characters like zen! a zen with “more skill” than a tracer still loses 9 times out of 10 because he lacks mobility, and it’s far, FAR easier for a tracer to just spray shots in his general direction rather than him hitting her with projectiles.

a gold tracer could probably defeat a diamond zen in a duel without much problem.
it’s a similar case with a character like widow.

that’s the problem with tracer. you basically always need to be better than her to kill her, but she doesn’t always need to be better than you to kill you.

tldr: hypermobility is one of the biggest crutches in this game

Exactly. People really overthink this game sometimes.

And a half decent tracer with a brain will still easily dodge your ability. Especially when those have travel time and her blinks don’t.

There’s no “failing to counter” an uncounterable hero…

And this is supposed to mean what exactly?

I have to play every character immensely to have any understanding on how the hero works?

Hypermobility is no problem at all, what people call “hypermobility” in Overwatch is like normal mobility in other games.

Overwatch isn’t… other games?

Yeah kind of… You have to know all the other characters abilities to be able to utilise your own effectively, otherwise you’re learning to swim without a swimming pool.
