I know we like to pretend Sombra is the best hero rn but Tracer is still miles ahead of her even after the dmg nerf. If you struggle vs a Sombra just go Tracer. You do more dmg. Have better mobility. A better escape. Arguably a better ult if you can land pulse bombs. Tracer is the best hero at chasing Sombra down due to her blinks and spread of her guns. There’s almost no reason to pick Sombra over Tracer unless you want to annoy a Ball/Doom. And if they have somewhat of a brain Sombra hack won’t ever kill them anyway.

She’ll consistently be better than her until she loses the HP anyway.
Kind of insane that a “glass cannon” is now tankier than most of the dps role. That extra HP guarantees she gets out alive with recall and took away options like mei and ashe headshots from threatening her.
God I miss season 7.
Doesn’t matter. Sombra feels worse to fight.

At least when a sombra jumps me I actually have a chance of killing her before she can escape.
Tracer not so much. I’d love to see the stats of how much more she’s surviving in games because of that extra HP.

I absolutely agree tracer is better and sombra’s problems are really just about her base design being anti fun.
But this is flat out wrong, idc how many pulse bombs you land. EMP is an ult that allows the sombra player to go 13-13 but still win a fight for free whenever she has ult with a competent team. Like it has been an S tier ult for years, regardless of how bad sombra is.
Just looking now on overbuff it seems as though Sombra has a higher deathrate than Tracer now. This might be the first time that’s happened.

I think the complaints are more subjective in that Sombra feels worse to fight. She usually doesn’t bother me much personally, but I don’t usually get spawncamped by her.

The point isn’t about who is ‘better’. The problem is sombra is not fun to play into. Balance is about a lot more than pure win/loss ratios. A poorly performing hero who no one finds fun still should be changed.
