Tracer buffs please

I think tank will be buffed next version

I main Tracer and Brigitte while dabbling in Widow and Dva.

From different perspectives, you can figure out weakness and strengths of the character you like to play as, even if you’re skilled playing against them as another character.
The thing about tracer is that she has high mobility and low health, which is complimented by recall. As a mobile but weak character, learning the map layout to allow yourself escape opportunities is essential to increasing her survivability. The same can be said for Genji.
Tracer is a high-risk character who relies on instinct more than analytical planning.

Before getting acclimated at high speeds, it’s easy to find yourself lost within the battle. But after acclimation, you’ll start to think as fast as you can move, which makes improvising come second nature.
When the battle changes, you can depend on the adaptability that Tracer has to offer, and if you can plant that bomb in the right place at the right time, you’ll definitely see the reward that comes from playing a risky character.

EDIT: Managing skills is also vital. Use recall only when you need to, and don’t blink as soon as you see the enemy. Blink to evade, not to move.

It should’ve been handled far earlier in development tbh. Yeah hindsight is hindsight but… you’d have to do literally zero research into the genre to not have seen this coming, and I know they didn’t do that. They have tf2 players on the team, and they should have known that having 1/6 players wanting to support is likely, and 1/3 is a push. Expecting 4/6ths of a solo queue game to play supportive roles is never going to happen no matter what they do. Incorporating that into the game design, like valve did with tf2, would probably cause a lot less frustration.

I think it’s safe to assume the devs know she’s in a pretty underwhelming spot for how high her skill ceiling should allow people to play. Except… unless you are/were a onetrick, you probably don’t. You just play someone else, with less risk and more reward for the amount of risk. Someone who won’t accidentally get oneshot by half the cast.

Unless you’re just a masochist and you really like having the odds stacked against you, at least.

One of the most hilarious things about this statistic to me is how blindly they misread the situation over at blizzard. There was no viable tankbuster in the OWL for almost the entirety of stage one. Teams were having tracer players focus on doing nothing but kill the dva mech a lot of the time because no other character could. Reaper? dumpster tier. Hanzo? Mostly dumpster tier. Zarya? You didn’t run zarya stage 1 until brig came out, after tracer was nerfed. Bastion or Hog? Sure, on junkertown, maybe.

It would be cool to have some stats on who got stuck, but my money is it’s probably dva, 90%+ of the time. If you payed attention to clockwerk, that’s literally all the outlaws had him do. Shoot dva mech, get tons of headshots, get sticky, pulse the dva mech, rinse and repeat.

Maybe if they didn’t want tracer to be ran as an anti-tank character they should have buffed the anti-tank characters so that they could actually live inside of their niche, because it wasn’t tracer stopping them from doing that, it was their poorly designed kits. lol

I’m pretty sure Tracer will never at any point in this game’s future, regardless of the state of the game at the time, need buffs

But other people don’t have the same hyper mobility Tracer has. I’m not saying she’s easier to play than others, I am saying that for the kit she has, she’s just as likely to kill tanks than she is to kill squishies (except less skill and tracking is required to kill this big, beefy target).

lol this is actually a joke

Give tracer 10hp and we all go home
