Toxic Community Corrupts Every Tool Given

But that’s like saying chat is abused because of the bad eggs who trash talk or curse you out. People grouping up to throw and boost(things that are already against the rules) isn’t the same kind of abuse as, say, the unintended use of avoid player that led to people ousting out REALLY good players and affecting their queue times. We need to make some distinctions about “abuse,” is what I’m saying.

meh.
All you need to do is recall the days of 24/7 on, no matching, player provided servers.

And really this comes down to a 6 of one kind of turd or a half dozen of that other kind of turd.

matching places you in servers near game ending.
Find your owner server and joined tons of games just about to end.

matching places you in servers with non playing griefers
find your own server still could have griefes in it.

Only diff there, is we might get a player server op to appeal to or a vote kick system to use, and individual servers could be like community centers that were able to ban whoever they deemed to be antisocial, independent of the game.

While corporate provided servers never have any kind of party host to help out with anything in the moment.
And ban as they might, unlike private servers run for fun, not profit. We can’t expect bliz to place our fun in front of what they feel is a safer bet profit option.

There is no solution to this, it is just a matter of which version of the turd we’re going to have smell.
