this. sure he does better for himself a bit, but losing lvl 3 turret and the extra armor really hurts the team and his ult now is less game changeing.
torbjorn is actually a better reaper.
A GM Torb will plow through Diamond.
torb has speed increase and health buff and attack speed buff on one button, an auto aim turret that can help against any mobile pesky backline flanker like tracer or genji, torbs ultimate he can still walk around and deny areas at will without needing to risk his own life by being smack middle of the enemy team, has a shotgun and has a long range projectile that has no fall off.
am i missing something?
oh yeah he can toss his turrets into really good spots now too.

Torbjörn’s turret can get destroyed instantly if someone really wants to destroy it. Being able to throw it does not change this fact.

Molten Core is useless compared to a level 3 turret. MC is very easy to avoid.

His M1 is useless if you are playing against good players. I can walk around and team kill with M1 on one of my alt accounts but what I can do in gold/plat is not very interesting to me. I can team kill with Mercy in the lower ranks too.

i think his turret is fine, i just came of a game about an hour ago where i 5k a 6 stack team with the goo and picked up the last kill with m1 albeit with zarya grav but i can consistently get kills with it and it’s leagues and bounds better than what mccree or pharah or reaper has.
and i think the goo is much more versatile as it’s not a sitting duck turret that sits still and can be blocked by barriers and hacked.
also i’m pretty sure they reduced his head hitbox by something like 10%?
but i do agree that he might need 250 health. however that might be a balance problem with the overload ability and he would get too much hp from it.
If the turret deployed much faster and had a lower CD, it would be fine. As I wrote earlier, anyone can destroy it instantly if they want to.

i never play competitive because it’s bad and this game isn’t balanced enough to be competitive imo.
i try competitive once in a while but all i see is bad people doing tons of mistakes and gets all angry and throws or just whine about this and that.

and i carried and won against a 6 stack with 5 other randos, i don’t care if that was qp or not, still impressive for torb, could i have done it with reaper? i would probably have died over and over without being able to do anything.
i mean if you want to actually play comp it’s better to play torb than reaper atleast so that’s something, but for actually succeeding in comp you better off actually going with something else like tracer or widow or hanzo or ashe or mccree or even genji if you want to win.
torb you gotta kind of work harder to get more out of him than others so why bother playing him in comp? he’s still a bit of a niche hero but not as much after the rework, and his old self was even more niche.
btw is it kabaji that plays torb for fun?

Ive said this before , but Torb needs to keep 50 armor everytime overload wears off.
Disagree. Torb is great. Even without the turret, he’s crazy strong on the ground with his instant armor/everything speed/mobility button. Also, his ult is a strong counter to deathball comps.
I don’t care how it looks in the lower ranks. I want him to be viable in Master+.
That’s where I play and he’s definitely viable there. I’m a little over 3900 right now. I mostly play on console, too, where his turret does 30% less damage. He’s even better on PC with the extra turret damage. He’s been my trump card on PC recently.

My console stats aren’t hidden. You have to click the PS4 tab to see them, though. I haven’t bothered to make my PC profile public, though, because I’m only like level 29. There aren’t really any stats to speak of there and I can’t change it from here.
He’s still trash though, because he feeds too much ULT in engagements and his success here hinges on movement abilities, but he doesn’t have burst movement so he’s utterly useless in top tier ranks

Like I said, I mostly play console, but he’s even better on PC than on console because of the extra turret damage. I’ve played him for a few hours on PC, but not in a way that would satisfy you I think. Also, your account is hidden, so…not sure you get to pick at other people’s stats.
