Tobejorn is still not viable on attack

Tjorb is a good hero, even if I’m not a fan of his slow speed arcing m1, but tubetom’s turret still holds him back, because it gets instantly destroyed on front lines.

I would suggest a small nerf to tomcruise’s turret, but give it a 200hp shield while it deploys. Would be a fun tactical move and make AbrahamLincoln’s turret viable on attack.

Is this a political debate?

I love seeing the wild and different spellings of hero names people come up with.

Brigit is always my fav, but Tobejorn is a new contender.

edit: Just read through more than the title… tomcruise slayed me, well done.

I feel like Torb isn’t very viable in general. His primary attack is a little weak, his ultimate is still pretty meh, his turret isn’t great at high levels of play, and overload is a solid ability but overall the character is just plain outclassed. Hanzo, Widow, McCree, etc… can do pretty much everything Torb can only better and more.

I feel like you only read the title and missed the entire point of this topic.

The real point here is the Toblorne should have triangular barrels on his turret to better match his namesake.

Torb can be Viable its just he needs support from his team. A good torb will win games with a team who can work with him. On his own he can workout but, the possiblity is pretty low.

His turret will forever hold him back so long as he is terribly punished for letting it die with the terrible cooldown. Kind of causes people to babysit it, which is not what you want.

They did the same poor design recently with the Sym teleport

I disagree. He can be very viable on attack, especially at defending your back line when the enemy is running heroes like Tracer, Doomfist, or Sombra.

Absolutely, he’s my number one choice in those cases and I thought about mentioning that, but I didn’t because compared to the times when you need pure offensive power, the times when a backline defense comes in handy are a handful.

I think he is a good hero, but his turret hampers his frontline ability a tad too much.

I don’t want any buff for Torb, but the post is amazing nonetheless.

People just don’t know how to play Torb correctly. He is insane. Positioning and headshots are key.

Do you spell Toarbjurns name wrong each time you write it?

I think Thorbr is situational on attack.
He can sort of work well with pirate ship, if you get lucky.
He isn’t awful on KOTH maps if you constantly move your turret around after getting point.
For hybrid maps Fordjorn can kind of work with dive in low ranks (place turret to support those who dive in and hope enemy is too distracted to notice turret lol)

Where Tobyorn doesn’t work on attack is 2CP. It’s just sort of rough for Thorbrorn, especially since the enemy team is likely to have barrier tanks.

And now I see how to check if someone really reads the description of the posts and who just reads the title and goes straight into “reply” button.

Getting a turret into a good spot on attack can be devastating, but it’s hard to get Trembloyn into position to do that

Toebjörn is great.

Torb is viable, some POTG here:

This is the only necro I approve of. Such a quality thread.

Even though this is an old post it’s still relevant. Buff his turret cast time and Secondary Fire.

He just needs his armor packs back, now as a secondary fire when his hammer is equipped. He was and always should be a utility damage character. If he only provides damage, he’ll always just compete with every other damage hero who only does damage. That’s where stale metas come from: homogenization.
