To people who don't understand why DF is being complained about

What is the Pharah supposed to do if the other DPS on the enemy team is a McCree or Widow that keeps popping them out of the sky?

Pharah doesn’t immediately stop me from playing Sym nor does it mean I’ll be immediately dumpstered by the Pharah. Same applies to Doom (who probably has a better chance of killing Pharah than Sym).

Side note: I didn’t die to a DF combo today by immediately turning around and looking down after he uppercutted me. Dunno if this actually obscured my head hitbox from him or not.

Well I guess that’s it guys! Someone whose really good with a hero has made a 2 minute highlight demonstrating their A game against Widowmakers with poor situational awareness and don’t grapple away when they’re in trouble.

Undeniable proof that he’s OP.

True. His damage values (on the floor) from abilities is just under 100 in most cases, and body shots point blank are 66 max, headshots finish off the combo or another shot. If he dove from a high height, you’d be insta gibbed.

I disagree. Two orbs will down most pharahs, and doom’s dropoff on his primary fire is appauling, plus his hitbox is unforgiving. On maps like horizon, I have seen symms throw turrets at the ceiling, that’s an interesting little trick that you probably are aware of.

But that would require picking Sombra and McCree… which, while it may be useful against DF specifically is practically suicidal in all other circumstances.

Having a counter that can’t hang in the game is equivalent to not having a counter at all.

Psst, you know what a montage is? They’re highlights, it doesn’t mean that it’s ALWAYS like that. They don’t show what’s between those clips.

I know, it’s mind blowing.

This kind of threads are just pathetic.

That was just a rough example. Other combos include sombra pharah, triple tank mccree road, another doomfist, widow in most cases… etc etc. There are various counters to doom, whilst others make the game more difficult for him, namely reaper and brigitte.

Indeed two orbs do put her down, but Syms projectile fire is still the slowest in the game. It’s a lot more likely that Pharah will win that engagement if you challenge her.

There are also two types of Pharahs. The ones that panic when it comes to the ceiling turrets, and the ones that drop from their range immediately and destroy them.

I’ve seen DFs murder Pharahs if they can get to her altitude.

Tends to be map based, like Lijang or Dorado, even Rialto. However it also depends on the circumstances… either way, symm and doom aren’t reliable pharah killers, hence why a switch might be possible lol.

What I’m saying is that doom can be countered, in a nutshell. He’s not an immortal god like 1.0 Brigitte was back in day 1 of season 10.

Not really. Just look Brandito or Chipsa. Even they fail so often as one of best top 500 DF players. DF is so inconsistent … you can with ez make montage which shows how “op he is”, meanwhile it’s really hard to make him become truly op in game.

And you know what? Good job to that person for actually practicing and getting really good as Doomfist, who despite what most people think, is still a very skill requiring character.

Precisely.
He’s in a similar category to sombra in general; when played well, is a godamn nightmare to deal with, however can be countered, no matter what level of play you’re at.
It’s just dependant on skill, as most of the anti-doom haters are suggesting. A silver doomfist may be able to hit rocket punches like road can hit hooks, but that same doom won’t be able to perform the same way a practised one would.

Hey OP, Torb is BROKEN. I’ll prove it to you with this Torb montage.

Let’s not pretend he’s actually considered a throw pick and is getting reworked because of that.
This MONTAGE with just highlights proves it wrong.

See? I can say stupid things too.

Why is he a problem now? Did he get another buff since launch?

Doomfist can… fly ò_ò

Buffs he’s had: increased shields from 30 to 35. Damage counter added to seismic slam to detail the total damage being dealt. Increase ultimate movement speed from 150% to 200%. Think that’s it.

Nerfs he’s had, various alterations to rocket punch; reduced range from 30-22, reduced hitbox in all directions. That’s all I can really think of, plus a bunch of indirect nerfs from bug fixes.

That’s from launch I believe, sandman, lol.

that as well, lol.

His gun reloads faster.

i watched the montage in its entirety, and didnt see a sombra/torb/flagship comp in any of them…hmmm

Avian’s post doesn’t say anything about nerfing him. He’s just trying to highlight Doomfist’s strengths. Sure the montage may seem like DF is OP, but look at all his targets. Every single one of them is squishies, and majority of them are Ana and Widow. I think 5-6 frame sets were killing Widow exclusively.

DF is a squishy killing machine, but he isn’t completely broken. He might be a bit OP, and maybe his Seismic slam can use some number adjustments but that isn’t for me to determine.

I think he’s fine for now. Most of his Slams are from clever angles. I also think the trickle down meta is starting to saturate the diamond/masters rank. If Blizzard doesn’t make any changes, I think we’ll see the pros start learning and countering these angles. Once we see how pros deal with DF, the general playerbase will start picking it up.

Let’s not hit him with the nerf just yet.

Every post you make about Doomfist has ignored all points made against them or any attempt at reasoning with you. You are an extremely bad troll.

Doomfist encourages new players to just go play fortnight instead. He punishes learning. Useless at high level play and uncounterable if there’s any low level players on your team.
