I do kinda average like 15 kills with 15 deaths or something but some ppl are wrecking. Not sure how to get better at it other than play it a lot. Any tips?
Have you tried adjusting your in game scope relative sensitivity? It perturbs me that it s a relative sensitivity. I m not sure how i shld set it.
Well I’m used to wrist aiming and the high speed arena type games of the late 90’s (aka q3 arena) so I have a predisposition to very high sensitivity without even noticing it. I halved my sensitivity bc ppl told me it was too high. It seemed very slow to me like that. Nonetheless a a couple weeks later I started looking at what the pro settings were and the concept of edpi. I realized even after more than halving my sens…it was 36,000. I probably had like 80000 edpi before halving it.
So I looked over one of the pros with sens on the higher end aka linkzr and took his settings. Basically 4800 edpi with scope sens of 35. Have mostly gotten used to it now though.
I’m not a great Widow but I found it a lot easier to survive and get picks on the opposition without them knowing where I was by keeping mobile. Keep using your hook to move about so the opposition has less chance of communicating to each other where you are all the time.
Also I did better when I focused on better target priority. Sometimes it’s better to wait a few seconds for their healer to peak a corner or stray out from behind a sheild than it is to pump three shots into a tank that’s getting healed.
Edit : Also remember that your raw stats might not tell the whole story. Your 15 elims might be super useful to your team if they are on DPS attacking your healers for example.
Have you tried the widow HS servers? I’m actually more interested in those right now than the actual game.
My bad. You posted in the competitive sections so I assumed you meant competitive. Silly me.
Ah well mainly bc I think the skill set there translates to competitive play. It just seems the only way to see if your widow skills are holding where they need to be.
Also there is no SR system. Sometimes you click the profile of the leader and his SR is 4500 or something crazy so you get to play with whoever shows up.
Alright, ignoring my comp mains for this (I’m a flex player so it isn’t wholly indicative of my skill set because people don’t like to heal and tank) I actually play a ton of Widow HS only and consistently get around 35-45 kills a match which is like 3rd so I’m not awful. Personally the biggest tip I have is reaction time. Everyone is accurate given enough time to setup but it’s that initial setup that separates the plebs from the pros. Find out whether you’re a flick shooter or a tracking shooter (everyone does both but people gravitate more to one) and work on the other. If you’re a flick shooter, work on tracking to setup your flicks, and if you’re a tracking shooter, learn to compensate by having small flicks at the very end. Reaction time is obviously key, so practice to Ana bots headshot only. After awhile they become predictable so just do it until you have like 40 elims.

Im gonna be late af for this i think but a tip i can give to you is DO NOT JUMP IF 1V1’ing a good widow becouse its so much easier to hit y ou while youre in the air cuz youre more predictable.
