Time to finally leave the game

ok watch a gm game then. watch a masters game. watch a diamond game. At no rank does the losing team simply disengage. send me a game where this routinely happens, because it just doesn’t.

ever watched any Frogger gameplay?

yes actually, frogger is one of my favourite creators. now, go watch a frogger game. he’s on the best disengage hero and his team still dies in most fights.

You’ll be back. Nobody quits overwatch for good. The game is too unique and fun. You’ll come crawling back. They all do

he dies because he has balls of steel, he has 500 chances and 9000 skill available to disengage, but he takes risky fights regardless

I also see him often disengage at least for sake of healing some HP back so he doesn’t get one tapped, so yeah, my point still stands

Frogger can disengage. his team can’t.

What’s not tasteful is dismissing how you would depend on the game for enjoyment.

Use a thesaurus. Dependency is considered an alternate use of the word “Addiction.”

It’s not rocket science, it’s called understanding literature.

Probably every season for the sheer purpose to make the game more inviting for noobs to make the game feel more balanced to bait people into buying from the cash shop. You seem to forget that the OP is from a high rank where higher rankers will be punished for playing rather than enjoying it from massive patches like this. Just because the patch is big and changes the entire way the game works doesn’t make it good or tasteful for everyone. Sporadic and completely game changing patches like this will impact high rank play to a point that unless you are high rank that you will never see nor understand. This will 100% make high rank absolutely miserable. You seem to fail to understand how good Widowmaker is in high rank and how problematic it is going to be to have to fight a 1 shotting sniper that has 200-225 hp. This could make it almost impossible to win on attack mode.

Released absolutely broken and overpowered. Locked behind a pay wall or weeks of grinding. Putting in an endless amount of hours to obtain these heroes will also raise the odds of one using cash shop. Long story short $$$$$$. Every hero released creates more problems than they’re worth. Go ahead name a few more I could guide you through them.

Read my first quote to you.

You are never reading the dev posts, they do everything but communicate and listen to players. It’s all about dragging people into the cash shop. This is Bli$$ard where the only thing a multibillion corporation care about is $$$$$$. They do not care about you or what you have to say anymore. You obviously were never around for the Stone Ages of OW when feedback was actually used.

This skill gap for MMR is still going to be bad. A higher rank when que times are already jacked is going to turn 15-20min ques to at least double the higher you go.

They already and always have done this, if anything the new events get more stale and less rewarding to play. The only good event they
made is Mischief and Magic, which is still far from rewarding.

Im sure the OP will at least give it a swing but with rank soft resets I wouldn’t bet on it. People in high rank are already aware of the huge pre-existing problems in their rank. Higher ranks will make everything with finding a game way worse.

The fact that they’re catering to low rankers and negatively with heavy impacts for high rankers shows what the future holds for high rankers. You obviously don’t see this.

Just remember no matter what you say, with my knowledge that i know about how the predatory cash shop works I can explain in deep detail how certain practices are used to bait people into spending more $$$$$$.

Just to add a cherry on top, high rankers only make up for 1-2% of the player base. This puts high rankers on an extremely low priority to manipulate these users into using the cash shop or buying a battlepass. It’s all about hitting the 70-80% of the player base in low ranks, more $$$$ to be made.

This isn’t Twitter, you don’t need to announce it every time you quit. See you in two weeks…

my friend, relax, stop the drama and breathe

LOL i 100% love the original game and want it to be better and i hate ow2 but i dont think this patch is the worst thing ever and i dont think people should quit because of that, 2 different things. His opinion doesnt need to be treated as absolute truth just because he likes the game

Ah, yes, literature. That’s what I was missing! Apologies. I now understand the allegory that the original poster was alluding to and have arrived at the same conclusion. My dependence on the game for enjoyment is similar to an addiction because they are synonyms. Silly me for not realizing it.

We are all just machines following our programming. See what I did there? It’s because I have been studying literature ever since you recommend it over rocket science as that has nothing to do with Overwatch discussions, naturally. You saved me a lot of time because I was likely to look into rocket science before your illuminating guidance established that literature was the key to understanding.

Thank you, I appreciate the help. The world could always use more heroes.

But I’m gonna go ahead and announce my departure from Overwatch Airlines!

See you tomorrow in game, bruh.

(In b4, he comes back on tomorrow with another thread once he plays the patch about 20 games the first day.)

Playing cod is the exact same as playing ow2…

Ow1 once was unique… Ow2?! Nothing unique about that…

Who said it is the ultimate truth? Thou he has a point and with the current and ongoing state of the game people are leaving droves.

Is that good for the game? Does it look like people will come back after these changes? I think not.

Right now the game is doing exactly as I and many others predicted.

Go F2P too make big splash
Promote a bunch of BPs skins and what not. Essentially selling out the backlog of work saved up for 3 years. When they run out, turn down the rate of production.
Now with declining numbers, slowly kill the game.
Shut down.

They already fired a bunch of people and turned down the workforce. The numbers are way down. The initial revenue is way down. The overall interest is way down. Tell me again how they are looking for long term sustainability here?

I disagree heavily. If this wasn’t the case, I’d still be playing cod. Nothing gives me the same enjoyment as overwatch. I’m a 5v5 supporter though
