The barrier isn’t really important, Fortify DR is.
I find Bastion quite a bit overkill.
Sigma is really good for glass cannon, can one shot the last 2 Orisas with one ult, is also able to absorb massive amounts of damage.
Are strong healers really that good? It seems like the smaller health pool would make it harder for that to work. Utility like Bap’s or maybe Mercy’s feels like a better direction to go in, but maybe that’s just me.
Baptiste does well because of IF and the fact you can shoot bullets AND healing projectiles at the same time. tbh, moira’s pretty good because of fade. Ana sucks, full stop. You spend too much time healing to enjoy the benefits of the upped damage.
Ana just sucks in Archives overall. Stun barely gets used, anti is pretty useless, ult is meh because it rarely makes the difference (either run up and kill it in the face or kite). And no mobility.
True, true. Regardless, 2/2 works bc it gives tanks the HP of dps normally, and as long as they focus on damage (as they don’t have to tank in the conventional sense) they do pretty good.
I’d imagine that Lucio and Zen would be pretty good too, but I’ve not played them yet.
Lucio + Zen seems like the best support combo. Two defensive ults, Lucio can easily block the bombs and stop the Bastions from setting up in the first half while Zen can burst the Bastions later and use discord on the OR-14s to kill them faster.
Weak healers would actually work better. Since everyone is at low health. You get restored with one shot. So the higher healers is kind of wasted. So you rather get a healer that can output dmg.
OG dive buddies back at it again, that is a fun thought.
I think I’ll be trying bap/zen/sig + tank that isnt dva for it next. She just gets eaten alive.

I was with a team last night and we went Mercy/Bastion/Torb/Orisa. Did really well until we hit the final point, screwed up, and a Bastion tore us apart.
Another run, someone took Pharah.
That was a bad idea. We went down hard and early.
For Lava Mode:
Bastion and Torb with Baptiste and Reinhardt cleared it with hardly any problems. Honestly, it almost felt unfair to let the turret and the toaster do all the work while I shielded them. 
which mode? In glass canon pharah is a snack for sure, but so are most DPS characters.
Hog might work because of two-second invincibility and boss murdering. Winston, Rein, and probably Hammond are out though.
In the glass cannon challenge Soldier works surprisingly well. Helix Rocket one shot any normal Omnic. Also Tracer (though she only has 58 HP) works.
For glass cannon, Healers that do damage and heal at the same time are great. A shield tank is preferred. Torb is pretty obvious. And any dps pretty much. For example, Tracer can work assuming if you’re really good at her. Her pulse bomb is useful against the bastions since it can one shot them unless they’re in turret form. Also her blinks confuses null sector bots which is useful for like an alternative cc assuming if they’re looking at her. But any second dps, healer, or tank will be fine. But make sure you have the three above.
In molten core, as long as you can avoid the fires any heroes can work.
For the Lava challenge, basically anybody who isn’t melee ranged works.
For the Glass Cannon, Hog and Sigma are good because they dish out good damage and are much beefier than DPS and other tanks due to their health pools and sustain/barrier, which is essential in this mode. Soldier is decent since you can self-heal, and Torbjorn is basically a must-pick. Baptiste is probably the best support almost entirely because of Lamp and Matrix at the final fight, though I did manage to complete it with Moira.
My bottom tier for Glass Cannon would be heroes like Mercy, DVa, Tracer, Genji… in a word, Dive heroes

I haven’t played GC yet but wouldn’t Junkrat be a good pick? You can just stand behind cover and spam your nades/mines over and over again. And wouldn’t riptire one shot almost everything?
If you can find a good position, I think he’d be worthwhile in some parts. I’m not sure that Riptire is that effective against the bosses, and there aren’t many good spots to lob grenades at the Bastions.
Orisa / Torbjorn / Bastion / Baptiste
Sigma is insanely useful in this mode. Being able to cycle between shield and grasp so your team can deal with Bastions is great. And his ult can one shot some of the heavy units. My whole team died except me on Sigma to a tank Bastion and I literally used my ult, flew out the room to cover, and the slam one shot him. Allowing me to rez my team. It was awesome.
Beat glass cannon on my first try as him. It was quite comfortable. I had tried others and it was a stress.
