Thoughts on Sym Rebalance: Mostly Nerf

Big Beam as a minor perk was almost good except that it went from a dynamic 45% increase to a static 20% increase. I think it needs to be upped to 25% to make a difference if it’s going to be static.

The extra beam range was useless most of the time. 20% on beam from the beginning is way stronger because it helps patch up Sym’s weakest moment.

Projected barrier was hardly useful in OW1, and I feel that way with the new perk. Especially with the 7 second timer, it only makes a difference in niche situations where the enemy has to walk into you from one direction.

Photon Barrier was the bread and butter of Sym 2.0 and if you didnt find it useful its a personal issue, and its a high skill high reward tool that rewards knowing when to use it. Its as situational as Shield Battery is, truth to be honest. Defense against ranged burst vs defense against close range sustain.

Its also a faster response to things like shatter or high noon than TP is.

30hps might help against Winston but wont do anything against Ashemakerjourn 76.
