I guess people don’t know that it’s the Adults that rage more than the quote on quote “Kids” when it comes to competitive.
Depends on what they say.
If they play the objective and make usefull calls (i have higher tolerance on younger players) i just play like usual.
If it’s the 12y old super-sniper who thinks he is the best and we should all oblige to him, or he talks trash and makes annoying sounds, i mute him/her.
Basically, don’t care how old you are, but i care a lot about what you say
I’d mute anyone with a bratty attitude, and they don’t have to be kids. I actually have nothing against kids, but I will most certainly not add them as friends given I’m much older than they are.
That’s really as fair and as simple as I can be about it.
I play like usual.
Heck some of the kids I ran into are better at hitscan than my grown up DPS main that I always have on my team.
Some of them are super fun and awesome and highly skilled.
The things I notice about kids in Overwatch are:
- They put too much emphasis on POTG’s
- They talk a lot about what is going on on their screen, instead of thinking about what info the team actually needs
- They talk a lot more about what happened to them in their last game instead of focusing on the current one
- Some of them will even start talking about some other game they played, recently, that isn’t even Overwatch-related, right in the middle of a teamfight.
Other than those tendencies, I love the little people. God bless them.
If they’re loud or talk all the time, I just mute.
I don’t care about their voice because my voice also sounds weird. I’m NOT 12, but I sound like a 12 year old male.
Some of them are also pretty funny.
That happens a lot at the start of my games.
