This is proof Blizzard doesn't care

my guess is, they handed out pink slips this week and sent people home for good, with severance pay until Microsoft fills their positions. just a theory…

Hopefully they fired the people responsible for this matchmaker.

I’ve had a long gaming session yesterday and i haven’t ever been in a game with a backfill glitch. Hell, 40% of the games were me being the backfiller.

Sounds like a regional server issue instead.

Did we…did we play the same game?

Those exact same things happened and I was on my other account.

I only remember getting mad because the LW AFKed in spawn to goof about amd I had to swap off my tanks onto Junkerqueen.

I have no idea what happened, but I played corners and murdered that Hog/or Mauga I can’t remember right in their face for stacking up nothing but sustain.

nah probably a different game. mine was on hollywood and our tank never switched. tank was going against an enemy winston

also i didnt pop off i still got carried with 4 people on my team lol, i struggled a bit against an enemy hanzo

game is 6BCYJV

the lifeweaver was kiriko then switched then gave up and hanged around the backline standing then followed us every time we capped… didnt do a thing yet somehow we won

I thought OW2 is enough of a proof already.

Previously, if players left too many games, we would apply a 75% penalty to their Battle Pass XP that is gained. We found this had very little impact on those who leave deliberately and severely impacted those who don’t have much time to play but want to earn the rewards in our season Battle Pass

So they changed the penalty to make it less severe against those who don’t have a lot of time to play but that’s a bad thing? Explain to me how this quote isn’t just taken out of context to promote a narrative

too bad, a game is not worth more than devs spending time with their families. The game is broken for a week or two extra oh well!

Because that’s an EXCUSE. You get Battle Pass progress regardless if you win or lose. The ONLY time you dont progress in the Battle Pass is if you leave.

Which means they want leavers to progress in the Battle Pass because of FOMO scam.

The old penitly penalty was losing Battle Pass xp that wasn’t good enough for Blizzard.

Noone is saying that the game is more important than the Devs family.

We are saying however, that the Game SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED BEFORE the break. If there was ANYTHING that effected their bottom line, or an exploit that someone found. Those would have been fixed FAST and before they left on break.

If you didn’t care about the battle pass 75% was meaningless but if you did -75% was brutal, especially since you had to play several matches with -75% before clearing it and it affected xp from challenges too.

And they clearly couldn’t otherwise they would have. If it’s about the backfill issue it’s not even a consistent issue at least in my experience so we can’t know why. I’ll go like 40 matches with maybe 8 backfills and 1-2 failed backfills

maybe they dont pay the devs enough to care

No they wouldn’t … They will probably not even be a priority when they get back. They dont care…

I understand YOU have enough money that you dont care about a broken game, and will defend the devs to your last dieing breath no matter what they do. But some of us want a game that is not broken.

Games use to not be released until close to almost all the bugs were fixed.

IDK what that has to do with anything? I don’t really buy many games or anything so I’m not sure

I mean maybe your experience is different because I already said I get maybe 1/20 games played or fewer where someone leaves and backfill doesn’t work (assuming that’s what the issue is)

Yeah it’s annoying when it happens but it doesn’t happen that often so it hardly ruins the game. In the last 3-5 days I haven’t encountered the backfill bug once. Even in mystery heroes where there’s a lot of leavers I’ve played like 20 matches since yesterday and haven’t gotten the backfill issue a single time

Games used to release with tons of bugs so idk what you mean. Speedruns of a lot of old games are good evidence of this. Pokemon red and blue can be beaten in under a minute.

since the release of ow2 yes, they dont give 2 squirts of… what they care about I your money. Its like this with every game they release.

Blizzard has already shown it’s real intentions with OW2 since its launch.

  • Heroes behind pay and grind walls
  • Blizzard hiding purchase options for cosmetics in the shop and you have to go to the hero gallery while OW2 bundles are available in the shop to even see the option to buy individual purchase options in the hero gallery.
  • Vaulting 21 fan favorite OW1 loot box skins in OW2 season 2 to later be available as Amazon Prime and PS+ FOMOs when they always was available in OW1 and were never FOMO back then.
  • Not refunding players for the $19 Captain Torb skin. The Captain Torb skin that players bought for $19 were available for free later as a Twitch drop without refunding players who bought it before. Compare this to Fortnite who refunds players with V-bucks when cosmetics are available for free no matter how long ago they bought them.
  • $30 (3000 coins) mini event BP to get all 5 skins where 1 of them was a free sign in gift in 2018 and you still have to pay $30 to get the chance to grind and get all 5 skins and the rest of the cosmetics.

Have you every played the old Tome Raider … or anything in an arcade?

Well, tomb raider 1996 speedrun with glitches is 55 minutes and without 1:30 so yeah I’d say there’s a lot of bugs there too, regardless of whether you found them.

Every game has bugs the only question is how common they are. Again I can only speak to my experience which is that I haven’t really seen the backfill bug that many times. I saw a couple of posts here say they see it like every game somehow which is crazy because I don’t even see backfills every game in quick play.

In most games, you really had to search for those bugs.

With a normal playthrough, you almost never encountered the big ones.

Most of those older games also weren’t always online. I’m not sure if people here know how hard networking is but it’s really hard.

Im willing to dumspter overwatch for stupid stuff but come on

Are you talking about glitches? Because alot of them were put in intentionally
