This is overwatch now

Actually, it was supposed to be an MMO. Yes, that included smacking things.

It’s not ‘massively’ multi-player though, so I guess that just makes it a MO… but a MO what?

‘Multiplayer Online’ game doesn’t really tell me much.

Project Titan was Blizzard’s effort in developing a new MMO. That’s where all the concepts for the heroes you see came from – they were the character classes. Tracer was know as the “Jumper”, Reinhardt the “Knight”, etc. They were the class archetypes that the player was going to be able to select from.

When the development was halted the assets were shifted into what we now know as Overwatch.

its never been an fps, its a hero based shooter with aspects of fps games as well as mobas.

Yeah you’re right, a hero with a gun would’ve had to aim at that Zarya ult. Truly would’ve required more skill.

Brigitte actually did literally nothing here that couldn’t have been done by a Reaper, a Mei, any close-range hero.

So… It’s always been a shooter, in a first person perspective, but it was never a first person shooter?

What is this, a riddle?

compare this game in any state its ever been to actual fps games like csgo. this game is not a ‘fps game’ its a hero based shooter with aspects of mobas and other games

This discussion perfectly captures what the game has become, its a FPSF, that’s First Person Spam Fest, at my elo (Gold/Plat) that’s how it feels now. You could probably get away calling it a First Person class based objective game but you cannot trully call is an “FPS” anymore. IMHO

throws anti-nade

Looks like I solved that problem really quick.

this is like hanging a video of pharah killing everyone because nobody makes him a counter and they ignore it and say “look at so much damage that he does just to stay in the air with a button and shoot down”

Some take more than others. Aim weapons come with range and outplay potential, non-aim weapons don’t. You have to use your game sense to make up for this disadvantage as best you can. Unless you’re Brigitte.

… then die because Ana is deadmeat in the spam meta.

It’s an fps… no need to tie yourself in knots trying to make a distinction that doesn’t exist.

People only do this in a disingenuous attempt to justify some of the silly nonsense you only see in this game, rather than admit that some things just don’t work very well.

Then run her as an off-healer with a Moira as main. It’s not like her pickrate didn’t shoot up 20% in GM.

Lol
This is why i laugh every time someone says that ‘‘she only self heals 16 per second, if you can’t outdps that then you suck’’

Look at her health.
Look… at her health. She’s out in the open.
She has a shield, she can utilize cover like any other character, she has armor, she has self healing… She is not easy to kill.

People never, ever take damage fall off, armor, reloads, accuracy and spread into account.

What can’t she do by herself?
She’s healing, she’s tanking and she’s dpssing.

This clip is supposed to show how sick this meta is. Im not saying Brig is the only problem but she made this meta possible due to armor.

If 1 hero can create 2 comps (3pple support and GOATS) and she is so dominant in them. it shows how not suited she is for the game.

however that is what the community wanted, congrats blizzard listened and people destroyed the game themselves.

The biggest, glaring issue i have with her is her ease of use tbh.
She shuts down an entire comp; dive. Which in and of itself is a high skill team comp.

‘‘You spent hundreds of hours mastering this difficult hero? here’s a free win button for the people who can’t beat you.’’

It feels like a slap in the face tbh.
I dont really mind her fitting in a lot of team comps, but to be completely honest, that’s because she counters a lot of heroes.
