In that case a damage boosted bastion with a window should have 100% definitely killed him. Any other tank would have been shredded.

Yep, thatās a bad time to do it. He might be glowing, but that does not mean it is a moment of vulnerability for you to capitalize on. Thatās a warning.
I agree. Nothing should be able to tank that. They made tank brain dead.

Bastion is also using a timed ability, Baptiste is using his ultimate, and Mercy is damage boosting. If this were just Bastion vs. Mauga it would make sense, but itās closer to two Bastions doing it.

i get that, they are limit testing. but the fact that he is able to survive at least 2500 sustained damage on his own while doing damage by pressing E is insane to me. he isnāt getting any support from his team.
like i get tanks need to be tanky but what the hell. itās stuff like this that necessitates ana and zen picks and then tanks will complain again. itās a never ending cycle

Yeah, not even the Tank with the biggest shield in the game could survive 2500 damage in such short amount of time. Only Dva matrix and Sigās can do because of the mechanic.

And again, in a real game, this isnāt going to be something you see often.
Firstly, because most players arenāt stupid enough to try to kill Mauga during Cardiac Overdrive.
Secondly, because there wonāt just be Bastion trying to kill Mauga. Youāll have a tank and another DPS also trying to kill Mauga, as well as supports, possibly, depending on the supports that are being played.
Chances are Ana will be around if Mauga is the tank of choice, and she might even throw her nade on him the moment he pops Cardiac Overdrive, denying his lifesteal completely which is a significant portion of his damage mitigation.
Videos like this are stupid, donāt give them any attention.

Tank should be able to mitigate some damage yes, but this much damage by just pressing a button is really out of line. And dont forget he is shooting back at you too, his damage is no joke. Every other tanks cant do much, if any, damage while trying to tank a 2500 damage head on.

His damage is also inaccurate as all hell, especially when using both guns unless heās at short range and the target isnāt moving (which what do you know, is exactly what the Bastion is doing in that video).
Again, in most games, the targets Mauga is shooting at are going to be moving, which means a lot of Maugaās shots are going to miss, that means less health gained when Mauga uses Cardiac Overdrive. On top of that, in a real game environment you are going to have other players involved in the fight, who are going to be using their abilities, like Ana using her nade for example, which removes Maugaās ability to self-heal unless its immediately cleansed by Kiriko.
Show me an actual game of Mauga being immortal thanks to these changes, where no one is able to kill him at all. I doubt youāll be able to, because in most games Mauga is going to die just like any other tank, especially if heās countered.
Oh iām sure itās not that hard to find an in-game footage. Give it a few days.
On Volskya Attack, I died in less then 1 second playing as Reinhardt with a 2000 Hit Point Shield to a Mercy Damage Boosted Bastion.
Is that supposed to happen?
I doubt youāll be able to find any at all.
When people have to specifically set up videos where Mauga is able to get perfect accuracy against a stationary target to prove their āpointā then their point has less value than trash.
I could technically get the footage myself. The only problem is that the reason Mauga is immortal in my games is because nobody shoots at homie.
Whatever fantasy of an entire team shooting at him will quite literally never happen in my lobbies. I will just take him off the map. Itās all good in the hood.

In that clip Mauga is a perfect target too, mind you.
And itās not all surprising for decent Maugas to get near perfect accuracy against a turret mode Bastion, or, the other Tank.
I find Hog vs Mauga already so 1 sided before, now it would be a much more uphill battle.
Unless thereās a well, and a hook.

Because Mauga is going to be moving too, and heās not going to stand in front of a Bap ult to get shot at.

We saw less outcry when it was shown original Iron Clad could facetank every single Ultimate in the game directed at Bastion. Which, is also realistic as he was a stationary turret at the time. But that was not as large an issue as ātank does tank things, WTF!ā
