If it’s fine for a player to make multiple posts in favor of reverting Mercy (and it is), then it’s fine for another player to make multiple in favor of not doing so.

Debate his points, not his right to make them.

I don’t really understand. I get there are a lot of Mercy players who want a revert and discuss it passionately, but I’ve never felt attacked or otherwise disrespected when I spoke about my thoughts on it.

I don’t want a revert, I have fun playing Mercy as she is. I’ve said that to people who believe the exact opposite, and they weren’t rude about it or anything.

Then again, I don’t honestly take the changes in OW too personally to begin with. I’m not that passionate of a player so maybe my experience is just different in that regard.

Edit: Also, I believe I’ve responded to your other topics about Mercy before too. ^_<

its more so annoying that at least 50% of the playerbase are mercy mains or play mercy enough to be upset

The thing is, this post wasn’t even about Mercy’s balance. It was about the behavior of the masses (mainly Mercy mains). How they silence. How they treat members not with their community or at the least ideal members. How they act around conflict. How they present and reject evidence. How they argue their points.

They consistently say that presenting the same idea is just presenting their opinions. Yet when anti-mercy players do it (or just players that don’t like the spam of the same topic), the mercy mains or whomever is topic of the month comes out and does nothing but attack the user on things not even related to the topic.

Yes, I’ve made multiple threads tonight. But I mean, look at them. Now both are ruined by these mercy spammers. Now both have been invaded and both have the exact same players mentioning things that are off topic to attack me or try and invalidate my points.

I can’t ever win. Not without some help.

Considering that they have a history of debating people’s right to talk about the issues with Mercy. I believe it would go both ways.

I’m sorry, but is this comment…this thread seriously coming from a member of the group who advocates that said Mercy mains shouldn’t be allowed to comment on their own main ? That they should be regulated to a subforum ? That actively creates threads for no other purpose than antagonizing Mercy mains ?

It does go both ways. If they’re trying to silence people in a thread, call them out on it, and I’ll do the same if I come across it, but also make sure you’re not doing the same in another post. That’s all I’m saying. :slight_smile:

When did I ever say this? I’m not even a part of that “group”. I’m my own person. I’ve never aligned with >70% of what someone else says on the forums.

When did I say that? If anything, I don’t like subforms for specific heroes.

You cannot prove what the intentions were. I’ve already stated my intentions with this post. You can believe it or not believe it.

I dunno I’m not a Mercy main and heck I’ve stated she and Zen switch between being my 9th and 10th most played here yet I’m not lambasted when I post something in regards to her. :man_shrugging:

I’m sorry, but I don’t see how this is true? I’ve seen you in multiple topics about mercy explaining your viewpoints, and you make topics about Mercy in general too… Don’t you have to not be able to do those things in order to be silenced?

Again, do you have an example? I’ve been active on the forums for a while now and I’ve been in the same topics as you-- where did this happen? Did I miss it??

Are you including this post as well? Because I read every comment and I see a lot of people agreeing with you here, and with people like me who aren’t trying to stir up any trouble at all.

I agree with you. We share the same view.

Sorry, I don’t hold the view of preventing people from voicing their opinion from an “X amount of posts.” There is no “forum thread limit” so the “number of posts daily” isn’t relevant to worry about, especially when this very thread completely contradicts the idea of “Mercy thread spam” by being yet another Mercy thread itself.

But if you hold that view, we will have to agree to disagree and leave it at that (will be my last post here as well, since I don’t want to bump this thread anymore myself). I’m not going to debate with you regarding subjective viewpoints. My point is that we don’t get to dictate what heroes should and shouldn’t be discussed on the forums.

The last post I saw you make was how Mercy mains need to stop saying mass rez is coming back, so of course Mercy mains are going to come and share their opinions.

This post also calls out Mercy mains quite often, so again people who main Mercy are going to comment.

You’re not making a thread about a hero youre making threads about people and best of all you’re trying to shove them into the same hole. Stereotyping them, I’ve read plenty of Mercy threads because I use to enjoy her and like to share my opinion, I’ve seen plenty of different ideas and many of people who liked different things about Mercy and her many different version. The only time I see people get defensive is when they attack the player not the hero.

You seem to not like Mercy or Mercy mains for that matter yet you keep making threads on them and for some strange reason excepting them not to comment back :confused:. I’m pretty sure if I wrote a thread on how much I disliked x hero, plenty of people who played that hero would come and comment on it.

Also on your thread about mass rez never coming back, many people showed reasons on how it could come back.

Mercy spammers? Again you’re talking about a hero they play but except them to not to write on the thread. You are also talking about how they basically don’t listen to anybody unless it’s agreeing with them but oh no they can’t write back and stick up for them selves :thinking:. Even though you’re basically ******** about Mercy mains.
