it just does. it goes so hard at trying it’s hardest at keeping your *** where it says it wants you to be. That EOMM that these greedy *** devs use to mind**** players by dangling their true rank in front of their faces and yanking it away everytime they try to grab it so they can keep playing over & over & over & over - then when they get to a new rank? SIKE , here comes that 5 tier difference in rank pairing your new rank with other players several tiers and ranks below yours just to force you back down to exactly where you started before you log off for the day. you absolutely have to have no life to bulldoze through this matchmaker

i know it’s just a game , but the **** is extremely aggravating & the developers know exactly what they’re doing with however they code this matchmaker , it’s all intentional, they’re not trying to fix a damn thing.

Straight facts. I’ve started to upload a lot of my games to OW replays for this exact reason. How am I master /gm support on my main, create an alt account, never throw on it, and yet my alt account has “projected silver” placement matches harder than my master matches? $h** is an absolute joke! If devs dislike you, good luck on increasing your rank, as you’ll be getting 1-3 trolls a game vs 5 stack of smurfs almost every match. Feel like you might have to be a streamer in order to get fair matches, but idk, I don’t watch them.

of course they don’t, thats why they use EOMM & don’t pair rank matches by actual ranks. they care about playtime and player engagement.

It is amazing what theories people believe.

They match based on MMR. Your actual skill rating. Which, in most cases, is very closely aligned with the shiny colourful badge you have, but is much more reliable and accurate.

I know, it’s hard to understand, that a video game doesn’t care about about, and isn’t trying to mess with you.

What i don’t understand is why you keep trying to make game talk personal; keep it about the game. this thread is a complaint about matchmaking in ranked. spare me the ad hominems.

No, because there isn’t one. And most players MMR is very closely aligned to their MMR, so you’re getting what you want by proxy anyways.

Don’t push misinformation then. Keep it to the facts.

MMR is your individual skill rating, your rank is just a shiny badge based on your position on a ladder.

MMR is used to match people. They’ll also factor ping, groups and length of queue. That’s it.

The match maker is a neutral as it treats everyone the same. Doesn’t mean it’s good or bad, it just isn’t the deciding factor.

This right here, the rank 1 player is a cheater, on top of that D1 starts T500 now. That hasnt happened since ow1 when it was in its worse state.
