Lol nah. I have been flexing a ton. It’s been hella fun. Some games, rightclick randy saves the day once again. Other games, I jump in as winton and win a ton. Even played some mercy and single-handedly saved a game with a well-timed res after they spammed ults

I tried everyone with at least one “decent” game where I utilized everything different to my satisfaction and then went back to one tricking Reinhardt.

Sadly some people can t even see this , this is so sad
It’s positive and bright until you have a lobby full of hanzos and widows, one spamming sonic arrows to wallhack and erasing everyone with scatter arrows and widows then sniping everyone left and right with those wallhacks on top of their own wallhacks. I’ve tried Winston and got erased in half a second before I could even land on them in any way. Classic sucks and you’re all high on nostalgia that’s not even that great. I didn’t play OW1 from very beginning, but i have different memories of it and this wasn’t it.

This is a main issue. As far as playernumbers go it also looks like this complete OWC event was good, but brought less people back as expected. We had on steam 58k players on launch at the season and with the OWC event, it peaked at 56k players. While this season is quite low (mainly due to Widow meta I think), the last season was sitting at a 58k average playercount.
So all in all I think people here overestimated OWC popularity and it is bluntly clear, that the mode is fun for a few days, but after that kind of annoying.

dude, classic is awful, you’re so slow and clunky, have hardly any abilities and those you do most make you stand still, the classic mode is dreadful and shows why ow1 felt so damn awful

funnily enough I did get pretty frustrated at this then remembered how I used to get so mad at it, it was funny.

Well, I wouldn’t say “OW1” itself felt awful. It was relatively slow at the start for some heroes but by the end of OW1 there wasn’t too much difference in the way it felt after most of the hero quality of life changes over the years (unless you like having extra like abilities and control on a tank like Reinhardt I guess). I’d say there is definitely a different group of people asking for a 6v6 OW1 experience and the classic/original OW1 experience.

You must not have many friends. All of mine are thrilled to be able to play peak gaming such as OW classic. Now I feel it was better a few patches in like when moira was released but after that it was all down hill. OW2 is dead

It was as much fun as it sounds.
It’s already been min-maxxed. Widow, Zarya, Mercy are guaranteed most games. Hardly anyone plays anything else 
It’s fun, but I’m really hoping for some other patches/moments from 1’s lifespan. All my favorites are a slog, and the heroes I hate in the current game, I still hate here.
Wake me up when DPS Doom is back. 
It was really nice to just be able to bail on unfun matches on a whim and immediately be queueing again, no petty time-outs, you can just leave, its no big deal. It makes the game way less stressful when you’re not forced to endure bad matches

More like the other way around. Rein has one lousy firestrike and has to commit fully to a charge, the only thing he’s got is 2K HP shield. D.Va has a defense matrix once every two weeks for a second, can’t even shoot when boosting and dies to her own nuke. Hog has to stand still to heal. If Zarya doesn’t have a second tank, she’ll basically get no charge. Winston doesn’t have the alt fire. All the tanks just feel like they’re running on tank controls in a PlayStation one game. And then there’s three Bastions with bullet hell or six Meis with walls and freeze on primary fire or three Widows on the enemy team.
I don’t have something like Sigma, so I can’t put a shield in Widow’s face, I can’t boost and shoot the Widow down with D.Va.
And there we go, the standard DPS main hating they can’t just one-shot enemies all the time.
Good luck having two tanks. I still end up being solo tank, with four DPS. And then it’s again just gonna be double or triple Bastions.
I got invited to the beta of OW too, and this is heall worse. Back in the day it was fun cause of the novelty, but now you can tell how clunky the tanks are and how little tools they have.
And that’s exactly what classic feels like. It’s so anti-tank it hurts.

Who would’ve thought a DPS main is salty stuff doesn’t die in one shot.

i have a simple explanation, there are more than one tank, tanks are not giga buffed, they can die, dps are usefull, thast why 5vs5 sucks, is faster, yes, but overwatch is not an arcade shooter with 0 strategy, so a slower peace is better

yet im able to work with 5 stack bastions as hanzo and still have fun and win against much better comps.
less than 10 second cue times for classic any time of day. it usually takes me about a min and I go into death match. I cant even load death match. So I think this is a lot more popular than you are giving it credit for.

IMO they should have the Classic stay in quick play permenantly and update it to the best version of OW1 and let the users to choose what mode they wanna play.
best version of overwatch is up for debate. may need 3-4 versions on rotation.
