They need to return OW1 that we paid for. I don’t care what they do to this garbage.

Game companies remain the same in name only. This is the reason why most live service games are destined to fizzle or fail.
As time goes on, live service games become maintained more and more by new devs that operate outside of the original vision. They’re hired on to replace original devs that have moved on for one reason or another.
Eventually, the product becomes virtually fan fiction from the influence of devs who may have been fans of the product before they took the job. Add to the fact that AAA devs are just corporate shareholder punching bags and it all makes sense.
Given enough time and luck, live service games are simply destined to devolve into fan fiction products designed to milk a fanbase’s wallets like the fools they are. That’s why you see live service games like OW2 with sh** review scores still going strong. The original idea was so good, it was able to be devolved into a wallet milker.

The problem is not the fact that people can counter, the problem is that EVERY counter is a HARD counter, and you basically are screwed if you do not counter yourself. Until every counter is exhausted and the most cheese picks are needed to play the game.

THAT’S your issue with it? Not the paywall-fest, lies about story mode, recolors of OW1 skins sold for $20 and crossover skins all over the place?
Only time I’m not on tank is when I’m doing the weekly and it rolls me on a different role.
You do know that’s how it’s pretty much since hero stacking got removed, right?

Its been that way since release so idk what youre talking about. 
There are 2 major issues going on right now. Tanks got gigabuffed and we have a holiday event going on.
I used to play gold 5 tank at a 50/50 clip no problem and most games were close very few games I felt like I was tank diffed.
This new patch… HOLY HELL I am currently in silver 1 and I may as well be bronze 1 or lower. I feel completely useless.
Holiday events really really deflate the ladder. I face players that are EASILY 1 full metal rank below where they should be playing.

in seriousness though, idk. i just kinda got used to it. I like 5v5 a bit better than 6v6. its a lot less chaotic and people are easier to deal with individually than as a group. consequence is getting tank hard countered sure, but i dont think there is a solution for that which doesnt make other characters boring or weak, or make tanks too strong for their own good.
good teamplay can definitely help in some cases
Ah yes telling people who’ve been playing a game for up to 8 years straight that they should “just quit” instead of trying to fight for what they love that was taken away from them without any discourse.

Unfortunately, they won’t be able to get it back.
Such is course of all online games - eventually they get adapted for “common denominator” and you have to leave in search of next diamond in metaphorical pile of trash.

No at least for now, such a thing as hard counters do not exist and one tricks proving that fact again and again. A hard counter would simply render the other one completely useless, but that is never the case.
What paywall are you talking about?
-In the beginning the new hero was in BP, but that got relatively fast changed to be included for f2p players and now they removed the unlock requirements after that season completely.
-The only thing left behind one, is invasion mode. But honestly no one cared about it, so this got cancelled after all.
Everything else are cosmetics, not content.

I usually also like to play tank… but doing that in current overwatch to your self unsolicited… Ouch…

I would argue counterwatch was worse in ow1 because there were more one tricks so you would see threads like.
“X role never switches why?” (Often directed at dps)
Tanks always had to deal with counter watch. Zarya and dva is not an ow2 thing.

It feels about the same as if I never did it to begin with. Most of the time I spend here I am doing something else as it is.
I am strange. I cannot even shower without bringing my phone in it to play a video in the background. It is likely some unresolved mental problem…
