This game has turned into a dangerous one

I agree 100% with this, but there are still 2 major problems that may not allow such a balancing philosophy to be possible in a game like Overwatch:

  1. The fact that there are so many hard - counters that simply deny a lot of the time the use of one, or even multiple heroes.

  2. Heroes such as Bastion, who is the definition of a statistically underpowered hero, Junkrat, etc. to whom net buffs are pretty much prohibited.

I mean just imagine buffing Bastion to the point that he’s actually good when low/mid - ranked players (the grand majority of the game’s player base) are still actively and rightfully struggling with him due to how badly - designed be is.

This is unfortunately true for a couple of heroes and until they finally get the sort of reworks they deserve or targeted compensation nerfs in the cases of Junkrat, etc., then they will simply have to be left at their current state.
