If barriers were the problem then snipers would be useless as all their shots would be blocked. The only actual viable barrier character in this meta is Rien, so don’t try and take it out on main tanks.
They literally buffed Widowmaker and Hanzo’s mobility? Dive doesn’t effect them at all hardly
Why do you think Widow is a go-to DPS in OWL where Dive is still used? Because she had her mobility buffed making it way easier to escape

And yeah widow buff was a mistake.
Healing isn’t the problem; the highest throughput healers aren’t actually doing too well. It’s armor and rez that are responsible for the survivability creep we see today.
Sniper like Hanzo and Widow have just to much mobility.
They counter had very hard time to kill them, most of time they die before…
High dommage shouldn’t go wit high mobility. That make some char to strong.
When you have healers outhealing the damage, your best bet is burst damage. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

When Dive was meta, Widow hanzo and many DPS was useless, Therfore Blizzard Actually slowly buffed all of them.
However, until dive itself was gone, those buffs were no use. But when dive Was gone they became OP due to those buffs.
So yes simple way is to revive dive, But that doesnt fix the problem cause then they will be totally useless even when they seem so powerful now.
The TTK in this game was always actually low. The moment 2 DPS focus one person, its going to take 2+ enemies to block/deny and then heal back.
Sure widow can one shot you but if you get a soldier with semi good aim and a genji to jump on someone in the same second, thats a fast trip to the respawn mate.

Completely agree 1 shots are horrible game design, especially when they come from the one with the scope and wallhack…
I mean look at it from the most apparent example, Pharah vs Widow. Both dps, but one literally hard-counters the other while also only needing 1 shot to kill with zoomed hitscan at that. And the other has projectiles with travel time that don’t even 1 shot while also being a very easy predictable target in it’s designed role.
But why tho? Seems to be the crux of the problem.
First of all, she doesnt headshot and kill the entire cast.
Second its … a headshot with a Sniper rifle. If that didnt kill many of the cast the appropriate question would be “Why not?”.
Third, its literally all she has. From close range she is the WORST of all the DPS cast (by far) and her venom mine? tickle damage.

If this is what you are referring to it’s your strawman that you erected for everyone else. Nobody said this and it’s simply wrong to say removing 1 hits from widow for anyone but tracer, would remove her scope (at least that is what I think you are trying to say). It’s just so nonsensical it’s baffling.
Also taking McCree for example he has the least mobility and no scope and no 1 hits. Even if he could one-shot he’d still not have a scope, still less mobility and a bigger hitbox.
